For those who like it, it's like a cult classic and everything about it adds to its appeal. It's almost like 2 films, and the second one starts when one of the lead characters goes to prison.

If you didn't grow up around the era it came out I don't think its going to resonate. It's a solid story and movie under all the flaws which also make it so great.
