I'm interested in Once upon a time in Hollywood Quentin is hit or miss lately but the cast is crazy and it's a very interesting backdrop to me.

I'll see Spider-Man because it's Spider-Man and it should be at least ok...

Lion King ehh maybe I'll take my lil cousin but who knows. Toy Story 4 I don't care about how great it supposedly is its run its course.

I think as far as "big" movies go It Chapter 2 is probably my most anticipated

It's hard to tell whether this is just a down year due to fatigue in the kind of movies releasing (MIB, etc) or if there is an overall drop in interest in blockbusters. I think it's probably both but like Marty said, until audiences make up their mind in what they will constantly go see, all Hollywood can do is take wild stabs in the dark and produce what has historically printed money.

Sometimes I think a universal ticket standard price would help get people to the cinema to see stuff they would be hesitant on. Something like $12.99 to $18 an admission regardless of film would remove some "the wait and see" people have if it ain't what they already know. Some of these prices can run too high & at that cost, a person rather wait til the movie is on a streaming service or HBO. So incentivizing people to get to the cinema (outside of the movies themselves) is the first thing. When that's done, people will take more chances on what they watch.

Yeah that’s the problem. The best comedy writers right now are on tv cause they want more control

You could say the best writers in general have been on TV for the past 20 years, but I think you'll see that start to turn around too. Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, and etc want to get in the movie game too and will get talent to make those for them. Once the old guard realizes they can all work together, you'll see a lot of current problems get fixed.

And you’re the only one really triggered or annoyed unless you’re openly speaking lowly on these other gentleman and calling them little bytches who follow your lead.:hubie:

I didn’t bring up a stan war, but you are by insinuating I did.

And anyone can call anyone out, but it’s bullshyt when that don’t keep that same consistent energy across the board which is the only thing I ever have an issue about. Either give me (and some others) the pass a few specific others get or be clear about what the issue is and don’t give no one a pass.

The few people like you are never clear on what really is the issue cuz y’all fickle and fake.:ld:

Ain’t no one trynna be clever, funny, or do some silly BEEF shyt that you and ONLY YOU are trynna initiate right now.

If you really true about this shyt then what’s good with The Mustang? If not, then maybe you should take your own advice.:manny:
Nah you passive aggressively start up that stan war shyt all the time.

Convenience and alternatives have really altered the landscape when it comes to the cinema. I also think people are much more economically cautious to go out and see something these days. Word of mouth is so valuable too, I go to the movies more than my friends so when they ask me how for example, Godzilla was, and I just go it was aight :manny: they usually decide to skip it, watch a stream or wait till it hits home media. In a time where for a lot of people money is tight and there’s more media options than ever, a lot of people will skip these big summer blockbusters, watch a YouTube review, and KIM and watch some shyt on Netflix or Hulu instead. Gonna be interesting times ahead to see how Hollywood adapts to that

See, now this was done, over and everyone has moved on in here but guys like you keep this shyt going on with y’all passive aggressive extra 2 cents:snoop:

Also that’s not true

Look, there is no stan war, the so called stan war ended at best Nov 17, 2017 or at worst March 8, 2019.:dwillhuh:

There’s not really much of a war when there’s only 1 fake aggressive guy and a couple of “for real” passive aggressive fake neutral cats against a legion

Here’s another issue. Studios have become so dependent on using critic reviews as a point of marketing and pride, that they’ve trained audiences to look there first. And they give the audience too much credit on that front because people don’t understand rotten tomatoes and seemingly don’t understand the nature of criticism. They’ve made it a binary thing and it comes back to bite them in the ass when those same critics they prop up take a dookie on them in the next breath.
