TYRONE GA!
Solo was a flop no doubt. shyt couldn't even break 400 ww and it's a star wars flick. :dead: what a fukk up.

TLJ was terrible in every way tho so might have been a factor but imo, just trying to replace Harrison Ford with some nobody wasn't fooling audiences either.

Oh let's get a random white man and since it's star wars we finna eat!:blessed:

fukk Disney.

Kathleen Kennedy needs to go.

Its possible it will be considered a flop when it's all said and done.:ehh:

But it did flop in North America, am I wrong?

It hasn’t done well here but it’ll probably be ok in the end. But not because of us.

But again, movies don’t always crash land due to quality. If people don’t care, they don’t care. And that’s the ultimate issue here. If you’re spending so much money on properties people don’t care about or at least only a relatively small group cares about, then you’re hustling backwards

Certain movies are destined to flop. Remaking a Will Smith movie without Will Smith is like remaking and Arnold Schwarzenegger movie without Arnold. Those movies weren't super mega hits because of their amazing stories. It was the actors that drew the audience.
You think i would ever in my life watch a kinder-garden cop movie remake? :mjlol: I only watched that shyt back in the day because of Arnold.

Here’s the thing tho: a men in black movie without will or tommy can work. The idea is sound enough and it’s based on a comic. You can keep that going. But the problem is, they retooled those movies to be star vehicles and revolve so much around the stars and not the concept. You can’t just decide 20 years later to make it about the concept and not the actors.

And again, the men in black franchise has been diminishing returns since 02. You needed to do something completely different with it.

Well it has to be ok since they plan at least one more movie with Kong.

Interesting how 5 years ago we all wanted a Zilla and now it's like :manny:

Chris Hemsworth is one of the biggest stars in the world.
Outside of when he is playing Thor nobody is checking for Chris Hemsworth:

Yup. That’s the point. That’s the point with damn near everyone now. We’ve had this talk before, but who are the honest to God movie stars who can open any movie now?

Yeah 2014 you had Godzilla. 2015 you had Kong. You can’t wait 5-6 years anymore. There’s too much vying for attention and people lose interest real quick. Like 0-100 real quick. You can’t take time off unless you’re something like Bond, which is a name brand and has a built in fan base around the world. And that fan base is used to waiting.

Aside from The Rock I can't think of anyone who can be considered a solid bet to open a movie based off his name being above the title.
