That bait and switch is real. These cacs are working overtime to damage black people and what's worse is that young blacks are going along with it thinking it's progression when it's just blatant destruction.
This times ten. People ain't even seeing it even when it's so blatant as it is now.

And let me say this before I continue anything. I have no problem with LGBT black people at all. My problem is BLM at this point is not about ALL black people (as in, black men, women, children, LGBT, african, west indian, african american, young, old, rich, poor, etc)...it's about mainly black women, LGBTs, and that seems to be it. It's divisive when it should be inclusive. That alone tells me at the end of the day BLM is not designed to uplift the black community as a whole, but to only further damage the black community further. The absolute lack of anyting regarding legislature or economics should be one red flag, but when they explicitly state that they are all for promoting the destruction of the family structure and heterosexual black men are regarded to as "cis" and left out of the equation completely when it comes to their writing of their community goals (the writing in this too is seemingly supportive more to LGBTs who adopt and single mothers as supporting children through a "village" and other empty liberal talking) is another.

if you'd rather be fruit before you're "black" :camby:
If you're not black first period, I personally can't fukk with you period.
This is where this intersectionality BS means nothing.
Black people in this society will always be seen as black first. As per course with white supremacy.
I personally believe black people in this society have absolutely NOT privileges whatsoever. Black people will never be accepted in the eyes of the greater society..so we should be all about us first and foremost.

Unfortunately for many, this is where their true feelings about their fellow brotha and sista expose themselves.
Many are really not for the black cause like that.
Many want others to do the work and then reap the benefits when it's all said and done.
Many just want to integrate and assimilate into a society that has never allowed either fairly or without disruption.
Many want to buy into this dumb POC label, when others are barely around to support us in our time of need or have rampant issues of anti-blackness within their own communities that they refuse to acknowledge let alone address.
So we have no allies...and wanting allies IMO indicates WEAKNESS.

This needs to be understood.

Then name some actions taken by BLM to "alleviate the struggles faced by heterosexual black men" or Black people as a whole.
I previously stated that I'm not an endorser of any official BLM organization. As far as I can tell, it doesn't even exist in any sort of official capacity. But taking it at its broadest manifestation, whose lives do you think they are talking about when they say "black lives matter"? Are the murders of Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, etc not the most prominent examples of actions that sparked and stoke the movement? Are you under the impression that BLM was only seen/heard when gay men's lives were threatened? Can you name one gay man killed who has had a BLM affiliated protest? Do you believe the norms and prejudices that are challenged when people say "black lives matter" are only homophobic in nature? Are heterosexual black men not terrorized by the CPD or NYPD, who have faced opposition from BLM movements? Are heterosexual black men not dishonored by the confederate flag flying over state capitals? Would heterosexual black men not be beneficiaries of racial economical justice?

I've NEVER said that light skinned black people aren't black.

nikka you had a 50 page thread basically calling light blacks mullatoes and how they have advantages over us dark skin blacks but over look the racism they face. Overlook lightskin black leaders like Malcom X, Huey Newton,WEB Dubois etc. You even went to say that you don't see light skin folks being killed by police. That thread was and is divisive. And know you come saying we doing the same when critiquing BLM's ties with the LGBT community. You don't practice what you preach and lokking funny in the lighy. GTFOH you a new black clown. :aicmon::umad:

Can you name one gay man killed who has had a BLM affiliated protest?

There is a long list of trans men and women.

Are the murders of Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, etc not the most prominent examples of actions that sparked and stoke the movement?

What action? Officer related shootings are still happening.

Are heterosexual black men not dishonored by the confederate flag flying over state capitals?

Protesting against that flag did nothing to dismantle White Supremacy.

Are heterosexual black men not terrorized by the CPD or NYPD, who have faced opposition from BLM movements?

Who said otherwise? The issue is BLM offers no solutions to the Black condition while trying to redefine what it means to be Black socially.

I defy anyone here to name one. Because I sure as hell can't. So if the claim is that BLM is somehow marginalizing straight cis black men in favour of gay or trans men, they have either failed horribly or the claim is erroneous.

What action? Officer related shootings are still happening.
Those murders are the most prominent actions related to the movement. Of course officer related shootings are still happening. And they're still being protested. I never said BLM was 100% effective and the problem has been solved.

Protesting against that flag did nothing to dismantle White Supremacy.
I don't know if it did nothing, as flying the flag is a flagrant offense to the dignity of black lives, but I would agree that white supremacy is still intact and active.

Who said otherwise? The issue is BLM offers no solutions to the Black condition while trying to redefine what it means to be Black socially.
You asked me to name some actions BLM has taken to alleviate struggles faced by heterosexual men. The CPD and NYPD and other major police forces across America are notorious harassers of black men (and women). Protesting them and shining a light on the injustice is an action that has borne consequences, for example the ouster of Anita Alvarez in Chicago and Timothy McGinty in Cleveland. Do you not believe that reformation of the policing and judicial systems are solutions (albeit partial) to the black condition? Or do you believe it is of no consequence whether or not prosecutors like Alvarez and McGinty, who occupy the positions of power that determine whether or not justice is brought to the fore, are still in office?

Not very. The predominant stereotype for Black males is that we're threatening because we're animalistic, hyper-aggressive, highly sexualized. A stereotypically effeminate gay man negates many of those threats (although they're also considered highly sexualized, but in a different way). But they face a host of other social and legal hurdles that straight black men do not. If we refuse to acknowledge this, then the gains made by any pro-black movement will necessarily exclude issues faced by a portion of the black community. This is the point of intersectional studies. BLM leading the Pride Parade is an attempt to make sure we don't forget the struggles faced by certain members of our community. I think that statement was badly worded, but as far as I can tell, no one is proposing stopping efforts aimed at alleviating the struggles faced by heterosexual black men in favour of these efforts. It's only a zero sum game if you believe gay blacks are not a part of the black community, or that promoting tolerance of LGBT individuals is somehow destructive to the black community.

If you're black then you're part of the black community.
But, you have to ask yourself, why are gay and effeminate black men put to the forefront? We don't even see family orientated, straight, black women at the forefront.

the ouster of Anita Alvarez in Chicago and Timothy McGinty in Cleveland.

That was Assata's Daughters, not BLM.
Do you not believe that reformation of the policing and judicial systems are solutions (albeit partial) to the black condition?

No, the policing and judicial systems must be abolished.

I'm not sure, but I think it probably has something to do with the fact that the areas and spaces where these types of ideas and movements germinate are more accepting of gays than other spaces. There just aren't many homophobic progressives or revolutionaries. Also, I'm not sure how old you are, but it might be a generational issue. This idea of the cis-hetero nuclear family as a given or an norm just isn't as prominent in the 21st century. And I contest your claim that gay and effeminate black men are put to the forefront. The most prominent spark points of this movement by and large involved straight cis black men. I really don't care what gender or sexual orientation the people running the organization are, I care about its principles and its actions. A gay man organized the March on Washington.

In hindsight, this means absolutely nothing if it produces no readily tangible results.

All BLM offers is protest.
No efforts towards educational reform
No efforts towards building or supporting black businesses
No efforts towards promoting a black economy
No efforts towards realistic law reform that holds police officers accountable for their actions
No real advocacy of lobbying politicians that will readily support the black cause.

Just protest
Twitter hashtag movements
And nothing else.

Shining light on an issue means nothing if everything else is still in the dark.
