Most are true storys tho.....i see what ur saying but they made Ali, tyson bio pic been in the works for damn near 10 years it seems...what was stallone supposed to do? Write the movie and cast someone else? Thats the movie that started this trend, so blame rocky.

plus, like someone said, its a sport thats been dominated by minoritys, therefore the white man is usually seen as the underdog....but yall can blame racisim if u want

I know, I understand where you guys come from, but the best boxing movies are true storys, the other is Rocky 1....its tough for me cause I am white so I dont know what its like seeing "white guy beats the black guy" again, and thinking of it as a race issue...im also not a huge boxing guy, so I want to know what great storys an african american boxer has had (movie wise) or a great story yall would love to see that would be better than a mickey ward etc....we seen Ali....hopefully see Tyson soon.....let me know what story you think would be a big movie

It's because white boxers are stereotypically seen as the "underdog," all heart and will rather than skill like black boxers. So I guess filmmakers see that as more "cinematic." Creed did a good job at breaking that trend

@Ol' Otis I'm not even ten minutes in and they got the Duran character as a kid knocking out black kids and they segue to his early boxing career as an adult and they got him ONLY knocking out black dudes
