like any community, the black community has limited resources. some people attempt to direct some of those resources to black entrepreneurs to build black wealth & reduce black unemployment. wanting to make sure those limited resources are used for the right purpose is not wrong.

The bolded only applies if you're actually from the Town, and more specifically the Flatlands. The moment you leave Oakland and the border sections of Berkeley that shyt is not remotely true. I already know the "restaurant owner" ain't from here because if she was, that's not how that conversation between her and the customer would've gone down at all. "Black-owned" in the context of Oakland is equally about being black AND being from Oakland, transplants are looked at like gentrifiers and particularly if they're not hiring locals.
