Ya'll check that Bill Simmons interview dude had? Kid is mature man.
Dude said Kobe, Jordan, Bird, Hakeem and Kyrie were who he watched most since high school.
Been talking with Kyrie since high school.
Doesn't play video games although he's more into fashion.
Sounds like a gym rat.
Been practicing the post game since high school after watching plenty of Kobe. Said he'll show more of it when he bulks up, but it's ready
Getting stronger/bulking up slow and steady without losing explosiveness, working on handle, playmaking and general basketball IQ are the focuses during the offseason.
Going for 25 ppg next season.
So basically the next Kobe?If he stays focused, I think he's going to be special. Definitely has the potential to one day be considered a top 5 player in this league. When he adds muscle and gets a grown man frame along with developing a consistent jumper, the sky will be the limit. Literally just depends on his maturity and ability to stay focused on being the best player he can be. All signs point to him being a gym rat, so I think in three to five years, the verdict will be Houston definitely snagged themselves a star.
Bro must think low of kobe to keep forcing that
Heard about this too, that's insane:
Bro must think low of kobe to keep forcing that
A lot of people forgetting that he shot 40% from three in the second half of the season and he was setting records. A rookie with his athleticism and skills shooting 40 from three is incredible.
True, but my point is that his critics act like athleticism is all he has when he proved he can be an elite shooter. A gym rat, with a 50" vertical, 40% three, and the ability to score 40 as a rookie. How can anyone doubt this kid?Knowing how the league is trending if jabari or AJ gets the minutes and shots they can break that. Saddiq Bey almost broke the league record for most threes by a rookie and he only has 72 games due to COVID.

I mean, Jalen definitely has the athleticism and it appears that he has the internal motor, but it's early. The chief intangible that Kobe had was his desire and obsessive, single mindedness to kill the opposition & push beyond whatever limits he felt the outside world -- and even his own body -- imposed upon him. Up until said body began failing him, he maintained that level of intensity. You add in his supreme skill level & his ability to compartmentalize and you got a generational talent. I'm not saying Green can't be a generational talent in that mold, but those are huge shoes to fill. I don't think people really realize how rare talents and personalities like that are when they claim someone is the next ____. Kobe Bryant is a top 10 player of all time. Lofty aspiration, just realize the sustained level of mastery & excellence it will entail.
