In all seriousness, he needs a new environment and a new coach who knows how to work with him. He's got an abundance of talent, it just needs to be utilized properly.

I don't know what the fukk they're doing in Houston, but it ain't the scene for him.

what are they runnin for him when he doesnt have the ball ? what have they dont to counter the defensive skeme they have used all series

2 be fair i like udoka

but this komes back 2 him not helpin his guy

there is no real offensive scheme -they havent adjusted to try and get him any easy looks

everythin is iso and jalen gettin blitzed

blood needs 2 get stronger , he gets pushed off his line to easily , and he has to get in kill mode regardless of what the defensive is presentin all t hat dribblin around tryin 2 drive , even tho is his strong suit hasnt been workin

so get him some pin downs , gettin him in some off ball action and put him in place to utizie his stengths in mis matches

idoka has done none of that / granted when u are gifted u dont or shouldnt always need 2 , but when it aint workin help him be better help him help the team :manny:

thats coachin 101 :francis:

this also falls on jalen - get in the gym in the off szn - start workin with your back 2 the basket - ( get stronger )

u are way 2 athletic not to be able to get on the block and have your turn around jumper be "unblockable" with your leapin ability , everytihn doesnt have to be a pull up/face up jumper or a drive to the basket

Best thing for him is getting exposed like this so publicly too. Cause he needs to retool his training regime. He works hard but entirely on the wrong things. Idk if you’ve ever watched his trainers routine with him but it’s a waste of time

This isn’t gonna be the only super stinker unfortunately. The warriors have Jalen completely figured out and he’s not good enough to do anything about it. This isn’t a blip. He always plays terrible against them.
I’m a JG fan. I’m still rooting for him, but I’m a realist. The warriors were the worst draw for the rockets because they easily neutralize Jalen. Been 4 years of up and downs Jalen overall but down and downs against the warriors. And if you have weaknesses, it just takes a team time to find it before they turn the screws. And Jalen has more weaknesses than strengths in his overall offensive game.

He's been in the league 4 full seasons, he kinda is what he is offensively.

2022: 42% shooting on 14 shots a game, 34% 3PT on 7 attempts 80% FT
2023: 41% shooting on 18 shots a game, 34% 3PT on 7 attempts 79% FT
2024: 42% shooting on 16 shots a game, 33% 3PT on 7 attempts 80% FT
2025: 42% shooting on 17 shots a game, 35% 3PT on 8 attempts 81% FT

I have always thought his best fit was as a spark off the bench leading a team's second unit. Give him his 30ish mins a game, if his shot's falling he can close out the game, if he's off you leave him on the bench. Way too erratic to be a team's primary or secondary option offensively and he doesn't give you anything else in terms of playmaking or defense(though he's been trying harder on defense since Ime's been there)

He’s only 23. He can still improve. And he still got a baby body. Just needs to focus on the right stuff. If he doesn’t change his approach, then he’s cooked. If I see anymore band exercise bullshyt this off-season, they should trade him immediately. Mentally, tho. I’m not sure if you can ever make a cat a dog. That’s the biggest issue. Rockets gotta go after KD hard.

He’s ruining Kuminga the same way. All they do is work on bullshyt one on one scoring.
