I’ve figured out Jalen’s game. He NEEDS 20+ shots and high amount of touches. Good or bad. He must be fed. He’s an old school volume shooter but he needs that diet to get going and thrives on rhythm. Gonna look ugly at times but you gotta commit to the ride. It’s crazy how volume affects his game. He gets more effective the more he touches the ball. Once they started giving him more onball touches and took the ball from FVV, he’s been in a rhythm. That and Amen turning games into track meets

Cool. Nothing special, certainly not the next Kobe. Amen looks like the special one over there. If he develops a jump shot he’ll be the best player in the league some day

Yall undervalue handles. Amen will be always be impactful, but he’ll never be best player on the league with those sloppy handles and I love the kid but a player who thrives in the dunker spot will never be the best player in the league. If he ever develops the ability to best in the half court game as primary ball handler then we can have this conversation.

Remember he was drafted to be a pg but those plans quickly got scrapped for another day because of his handles and and inability to be the floor general in the half court.

Athletically any wing with Jalen’s fast twitch, acceleration & athleticism is HOF. The only guy with comparable physical gifts is Ant currently. You’d have to throw in Ja & Fox for anyone else

“If” he figures out how to stop lunching on the difficult stuff so often he’d be an all star without question

He’s a rhythm scorer but more importantly he needs an offense catered to his strengths. Ime offense wasn’t doin that. Jake is striving now because the rockets finally listened to the fanbase complaint of making FVV fall back. Tim Legler said it back in November when Jalen was struggling, why did Ime stop playing the rockets style like it was in at the end of last season, when they literally the ball note in Jalen’s hand and sped up the game. Jalen showed that if you cater the offense more around his usuage in stand of FVV, it will strive. The only reason we’re seeing this version of Jalen is because Jabari got hurt(and amen was inserted into the starting lineup) and because Sengun was struggling with slow starts

Statistically his numbers are exactly the same as it was the last two years, and if anything he’s regressed compared to his sophomore year. What version of Jalen are you speaking about? :mjlol:

He hasn’t added anything to his game.
