Art/drama club nerds/geeks. Him and jada. Similar to the way jada's kids are, just less strange.

He wasn't always a "thug".

Pac was never a nerd. He was a smart / intelligent kid that was hardened due to his circumstances. Contrary to popular beliefs, there are ALOT of men like Pac in the hood. Guys who would've been lawyers, bankers, CEOs, politicians, doctors, and engineers had they grown up in better environments, because they had the intelligence but, because they're in the hood, they're forced to become a product of where they're from. These pictures don't show that he was soft or a nerd. They show the person Pac might've been if he had normalcy and stability but, life pushed him in other directions. I wouldn't call him a nerd. A nerd isn't charismatic nor commands the attention Pac did. Yall are butchering the word Pac was a smart dude but, like many nikkas in the hood, he got pushed the other way.

This is the way I usually hear the word being used as a positive. Similar to quirky.

*Someone who has odd interests, and is often silly at times. A dork is also someone who can be themselves and not care what anyone thinks.

*An individual who exhibits the following characteristics:
- Funny in their own way
- Has some odd personality or unique way of thinking
- Can be themselves

There's another one on Facebook called: The Extraordinary Journey of a Black Nerd group.... thank god for this group...

for starters it isn't a black group centered on racial issues, rap music, sports or thots (and I love all of those things...)...but it's nice to be in a group by other black people with similar interests outside of our mainstream without having to be around a lot of white people.

I'm in that group!

This guy is what would have been defined as a nerd a decade ago. You gon tell me them cosplaying chicks that are bad af, are not socially awkward but got an interest for anime and cosplaying are nerds too?!

Y'all want the perks of being a nerd but not the consequences. Nerds were picked on and bullied in school. They were last or not even picked to be on a team during gym time.

These seem like regular ass people to me; I always felt like nerd pertained to someone's personality as well as their hobbies but at the very least I'm glad these people are showing that black people aren't a monolith and that we all have a diverse array of interests.
