Many creators are way more popular than celebrities now.
And what is wrong with watching and supporting Black creators? They are having their drama but these people have put hours and years into their content.
I guess it's somehow better to pay to see movies and pay huge studios that don't even cast BP when we can literally support these BP for FREE? There are thousands of channel with many different topic that you can watch.
I can literally play a 10 minutes in the back ground at work or while doing chores. It doesn't even take the engagement that this forum does. So how you can be on a forum for years but shame someone for watching social media is wild.
The implications that choosing who and what we are entertained by especially when we are choosing to be entertained by our people is somehow "wrong" is silly. If you don’t like the people in the thread fine but there are plenty more. Why do we have a problem with BP getting paid for their work directly? BP have a hard enough time with racist algorithms but ya'll wanna somehow brag about not supporting them?
The future is choosing when, what, where, why and how we are entertained. Celebrating ignorance is played out.

Most people don't watch the whole videos. Why do you all act like you can't start and stop a video, pause it and come back late or even watch half and then go about your life? You don't ever need to watch it. You can play it the background.People don't really listen to podcasters like that. At least a rapper's video can be evaluated in 5 minutes top, one podcast will have 1+ length videos so it's easy not to get dragged into that world like that.

I have a pretty extensive social circle and I’ve heard people from all walks of life name drop YouTubers whether it be black personalities (Tariq Nasheed, Dr. Umar, Kevin Samuels, etc.) or more mainstream YouTubers (Destiny, Andrew Tate, Aba & Preach, etc.)
There was a thread on here about how ADOS/FBA might be added to the census and other forms/applications, but apparently that’s “just internet shyt”.
You old heads and your inability to pull your own heads out of your asses are part of the reason why black people are behind.

I will do that with a cold fusion video or a Lex Fridman video or something along those lines (science, anthropology, history, etc...).
