There’s endless reasons and explanations to why some men are emotionally unhinged and resort to violence.
To simplify it, the answer is “Patriarchy”
A lotta men hear the term, get triggered and dismiss it.
Or even get mad, because they don’t understand what it even is in detail and how it manifests social issues.
And how it even harms us men and creates the very issues we turn around and complain about.
(not being able to be vulnerable / the risk of being emotionally vulnerable for instance)

Not trying to be smart, but there’s a clear anti-education sentiment among a lot of black men. If you read this board, or even the thread on MIT acceptance rates thread, or even the thread on HBCU enrollment rates for men, or the empirical data, it’s apparent. In turn, if we aren’t getting educations—yet education promotes more equitable experiences regarding black women—who are these women supposed to be dating?
Should they become divestors and get with an Asian or White man (the highest educated group of men in the U.S.)?

There is a war against black women right now, there is absolutely a campaign of femicide being perpetuated against African American women.
You would think if you had such an informed decision on the matter like @Hannibal alexander (this name too) that you would be working toward solutions.

No, it's money. There are all types of studies that show this. IPV is bi-directional in our community and the black lesbian community has the highest rates. When money goes up, all types of violence goes down.
The disrespect towards women is so pervasive in society that even the acknowledgment or the stating of a fact, such as black women are being killed at an exceedingly high rate compared to other women—often by black men—is seen as some tit-for-tat gotcha bullshyt.
Like, even those RDC dudes refer to women as bytches and hoes. Like, think about that shyt. There’s nothing street about those dudes at all, but they have the same kinda discourse about women as dudes from around the way. It’s that ingrained in us.
A girl I grew up with, last year, her estranged husband picked her up. They were trying to reconcile. He shot and killed her and dumped her body in a fukking storage unit like she was nothing of value. The police found her body three days later.
We have some real fukking issues, man. Pretending like they don’t exist is not going to improve them. Getting mad at people pointing those issues out is not the solution. We gotta hella memes, jokes, gifs, 50/50 debates, etc. though. We’re just unserious.
