I wasn't dissing poor Black people. I was pointing out how useless the advice of those I replying to was. Black folk being killed in the hood are "underachievers" hence part of the same community, so saying, "stay away from underachieving Black men," when those people are inside the same community of "underachievers" because they don't have money and are unskilled is useless advice.

(Look who I was replying to and what they said)

And I do care about Black folk.

:manny:

Misunderstood the point you were trying to make. My bad.

Didn't watch the video but there is no femicide occurring. As I have gotten older I have come to the realization that people are dysfunctional and they date other dysfunctional people. Some dysfunctional people are dangerous and what a women thought was exciting is in fact deadly. Men and women need to take red flags seriously.

Data says different

it's not just falling on "deaf" ears, some people even get mad if you speak on it!
Coulda fooled me. BLM decided on national television to "center black women" when the movement was built on the disproportionate deaths of black men at the hands of police. Very inappropriate to say the least but few complained. This is pretty common. People didn't question them until they got busted stealing money. Apparently in black academia, bringing up black male issues too much is what gets people mad and careers stalled. It's assumed we already know enough and should focus on women and LGBTQ+ issues. Very either/or.

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.

There is no femicide going on. There are dysfunctional people who make bad decisions. If more folks addressed their dysfunction then there would be less craziness.
Just sweep it under the rug, huh :smh:
People like you who want to ignore issues within the community are the problem

You see it

Some street shyt can get misclassified as legitimate issues, such as femicide.

The disrespect towards women is so pervasive in society that even the acknowledgment or the stating of a fact, such as black women are being killed at an exceedingly high rate compared to other women—often by black men—is seen as some tit-for-tat gotcha bullshyt.

Like, even those RDC dudes refer to women as bytches and hoes. Like, think about that shyt. There’s nothing street about those dudes at all, but they have the same kinda discourse about women as dudes from around the way. It’s that ingrained in us.

A girl I grew up with, last year, her estranged husband picked her up. They were trying to reconcile. He shot and killed her and dumped her body in a fukking storage unit like she was nothing of value. The police found her body three days later.

We have some real fukking issues, man. Pretending like they don’t exist is not going to improve them. Getting mad at people pointing those issues out is not the solution. We gotta hella memes, jokes, gifs, 50/50 debates, etc. though. We’re just unserious.
Look at the posts in here acting like it isn't a real thing, even when presented with data to back it up. It is like how white folks were acting like the police don't kill black people at a high rate
