Either last winter, or the year before...I forget which but there was a massive snowstorm that shut everything down.
I'm out later that day trying to shovel my aunt's house about 10 blocks away. It's about 14 degrees outside. I see a guy walking by in a tank top and shorts. WTF? I don't even engage in small talk or chitter chatter with random people, but I think I said something to him. He gave me the DEATH stare and continued to march down the street. I'm not sweating it because I got the shovel and the icebreaking shovel on me, if he wants a problem.
15 minutes later,I'm done shoveling and I'm footing it back home.Roads are still bad. I pass by a woman talking to police officers...and I figured out instantly that the tank top guy was her husband, domestic violence incident happened. She threatened to call cops which made him storm out of the house in subfreezing temp. wearing tank and shorts.
He had just beaten her up. She called 911 and it took the cops that amount of time to arrive because of the road conditions. As justifiably angry as she was, she kept telling the cops, "Remember, he is unarmed"
