Like I said, people blaming the man for calling the police have a victim blaming mentality. When you’re so traumatized by white supremacy, that Stockholm Syndrome takes over.

I’ve seen and heard so many comments where the actual victim gets more blame than the perpetrator:

“Well why is she trying to move into a white neighbourhood in the first place?”

“Why would he walk around looking suspicious in the first place?”

“Why was she walking alone at night wearing clothes like that?”

“Why would he call the police knowing how racist they are?”

Do you realize when you do this, you’re relegating yourselves to second class citizens? You should always direct your contempt and anger towards the criminals.

That was the whole point of me getting my license to carry white people have become more brazen as of late I want to be able to protect those near me.

And yes the cops are at fault but I do feel some type of way towards that brother; he stated "this makes me not want to call the police"

This was the incident that nudged you towards being hesitant towards calling the police when issues arise?

we have to be more aware we aren't free we've elevated our status from field slave to house slave but were very much still in the same system as our ancestors.

It's not me shifting the blame I know whose in the wrong, but I just hope this wakes him up and he's more conscious, us calling the police is essentially asking the enemy can they put their personal bias aside and help us, and as we see often times they cannot and the result is another black life lost.

I've been in similar situations were I've sat at my phone and pondered "do i call the police or is there an alternative?"often times after debating with myself the situation resolved itself. until we are ready to sacrifice something for true freedom we will continue to lose things important to us, we will continue to carry this burden of stress & anxiety.

Again no harsh feelings or judgement towards that brother, I'm sure he already going through it and it's one thing to live it and another to see it on the outside and say how someone else should've handled it.

now we move into the next chapter trying to get justice from the very people doing us harm.

He did the right thing.

If we don't have the courage to be heroes calling the cops is the next best option.

If we can't call the cops then we have to be heroes.

I personally would have took the chance and checked myself but that's because I don't ever trudt police to not escalate a situation and make it worse. That said I can't fault this man especially since he called a non emergency number. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the outcome of Botham Jean's murder. I don't advocate the taking of life but society is making it hard for me to keep that stance.

The thought of facing a criminal who's violating an innocent person is something most men don't want to deal with.

White folks don't even press the police when they wrongly shoot a white person unless the officer is black.

You don't see the propoganda turned up unless it's on us.

Then it's time to put feet on the ground, bring awareness and get them outta there.

This is wrong.

Ain't no are we really surprised.

This is why I tell cats to start training

The officer probably didn't even know it was a black woman in the home but when he saw her, in his mind he's like:gladbron:

"Oh shyt, she's black!...This is it!!!":krs:

Damn I wish the brother would've just went to sleep.:snoop:
He knew she was black. These cops know exactly what the racial demographics of the neighborhood are and who lives where. Do you really think it’s coincidence that it’s always a white officer shooting a blank person? A white cop is going to start blazing on a white person in their home 4 secs after pulling up on the scene, a white cop is “accidentally “ running up on people in their apts and shooting them 3 times. Black cops are shooting whites in their homes? They know what the deal is, the discussion should be about retaliation and punishment, not excuse making for them.
