Pretty much. There’s people that may never have actually listened to the Roots posting, so this production would throw them off pretty good
I really don't think it's that. In fact, the more Roots inspired production (State Prisoner, Quiet Trip, Fuel) are the best beats on this. Some of these other joints just ain't it.

wtf... :mjtf::mjtf::mjtf::mjtf::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::wow::wow::wow:
Don't forget right before that line he says 'I drop bombs, multiple arms likе candelabras' :wow:

Black thought still spitting fire pushing 50 :ehh:

U and everyone else that says shyt like this are fukking idiots. Many ppl get better with time, Elohim, Phonte, Masta Ace, Royce, Jim Jones, an on and on.

Anyway, another great project from Thought. Literally never heard a weak verse from him in damn near 30 yrs.

Do they? Phonte sounds more laid back and relaxed
I think Phonte generally sounds more laid back but he’s got some really aggressive joints too like that Murder You joint everyone loved in 2018.

I’m not saying they sound identical but they don’t sound crazy different either on the songs they’ve done together.

On this joint here I think they sound similar. Thought has the 2nd verse and Phonte had the 3rd.

Thought 1st verse. Phonte 2nd.

Phonte 1st voice. Thought 2nd.

Man, Thought is alongside AZ on my most underrated rappers list, but I really WANT to like all of his 3 solo projects more than I actually do...if that makes any sense? :unimpressed:
I get it and with 3 more volumes in the chamber, I don't think that feeling's gonna change much. I would expect Dangerous Thoughts to be a little more focused/cohesive tho.
