dude STFU.absolutely nothing positive, inspiring or motivational. same songs about moving dope, materialism, degradation of women, booty shakin, and being bout dat life. segments like Paternity Test Tuesdays and here in Atlants there's a segment on 107.9 where they actually encourage ppl to call in and shout out their side-pieces

The radio is just another profiteer of black ignorance. I listened to the radio for the first time in months yesterday. Unbelievable how dumb down everything is. And their biggest audience is the youth. Truly sickening.

I don't agree with or support unnecessarily negative depictions of black folks but that shyt doesn't make me mad. If it entertains me I rock with it, if it doesn't then I turn it off. I'm not defined by my tastes nor do I seek refuge in the radio. Maybe when I was 9 I did but not now. I listen to young thug and paramore

as someone that spends like at least 15 hours of my work week driving i can easily say I get depressed hearing this catchy genocidal songs
wel im doing over the road truck driving currently so that's why my radio intake has went up recently. I need new music on my ipod so I turn on the radio to mix it up. I know your not joking when you use the word "depressed". same here too breh.its a totally different feeling/energy when I turn it to the white stations

that's really my whole point of this thread. the youth are the impressionable ones. im 31 so Lil Wayne, Young Thug and 2Chainz are strictly entertainers/actors to me but to a lot of youth they are being looked up to. kids are emulating what these rappers are doing and soaking in the negative messages that they are spewing over hot beats

and what really gets me about the rickey smiley show is that he has the nerve to have a "praise break" where he plays a gospel song in the middle of all the other filth. im always likeRadio is trash. I was listening to Hot 97 in the car for a little, since my mp3 was fukking up, and Flex replayed Hot nikka like 3 times. Mind you, they had to block out so much of the song, it's like what's the point? I kid you not, there was a 5-7 second sequence in the middle of the song, where it was just the beat because they had to block out so much. Then he played "Lifestyle" by Young Thug, and I never heard such incomprehensible gibberish in my life. :ohdear: I just turned it off after.

Good greif none of y'all have a r&b and old school station that you listen to. When every I have on fm radio and some nonsense starts to come on, I just switch the channel see how easy that shyt is. The problem is there's no balance on fm, maybe on Sunday that's about it. Other than that I get my balance from Xm Urban View and a few other outlets, can't be 100% hip-hop just like I can't be 100% politics , 100% jokes or 100% sports.
