Puerto Ricans aren't black. I think the confusion comes into play with culture. I mean with I think black. I'm thinking Black American. I don't think Puerto Ricans, Haitians, or Jamaicians, or anybody that looks black is black. Totally different cultures. So when they say they are not black, that is what they mean and I agree.

You can get technical with the African mix, but please they aren't the same as Black American.

Because you all get so pissed off when they say they are not black. I've several conversations with non ignorant blacks and said other cultures. You are being specific to determine a race in regards to blacks in american culture, but when it comes to blacks in another country's culture, you are just saying they are not black, they are the country

The only confusion comes with Afro Latinos but then again the vast majority of Puerto Ricans and Dominicans are not black enough appearance-wise to be considered black
