It's a great symbolic gesture that ultimately won't come to fruition like most things of that nature in our community. Similar things happened when Black Panther and Not Like Us dropped.
As much as that is true you can't stop trying otherwise you are completely hopeless without a plan. So if you feel this will be fruitless what is the alternative? ...besides throwing hands up and saying can't change shyt. People can't adopt that attitude or it's over.

Truthfully the foundation of everything is culture and being on code strongly is a huge part of that. It sets the tone and expectations for everything else. Look at Jews, look at gays. 2 groups that are over represented in importance to society due to their efforts not numbers. Both groups really handle people who are off code internally. The Black race in general has enemies within that face no consequences. Those others strength is their organization not their number. Their unified vision and common goals being interwoven into their culture.

If people actually stopped looking to the internet as a tool for distraction and start networking we would be unstoppable. Black Americans specifically have immense influence on the entire world let alone each other. Don't forsake that.

Until the Black Community adopts A SINGLE MODEL for a 'family', instead of things that sound good, but haven't worked for 60 years, NONE of this shyt is going to work.

Due to the effects of White supremacy, the Black community has literally NEVER had a "single" model for a family. It's always been aunt, uncles, cousins, older siblings, grandparents, and unrelated, found friends who stepped in to form family units.

The same system that dreamed up the "nuclear family" ripped children from the arms of mothers and separated husbands and wives.

First, this is the first time anybody has brought these points up in this thread so no it's not what it's about.

Second how do you know that they won't come to these conclusions after having the conversations? There is literally nothing stopping her from coming to those conclusions and refocusing her target once she gets feedback.

Third most people haven't even watched the 2 videos posted, not to mention the actual webinar the give a detailed explanation of the goal.

Its about the same thing it's all about. Not wanting to try. It's fine though. You or anyone else who doesn't want to participate aren't needed. It's a BW ran movements. The job will get done regardless.
How am I advocating for not wanting to try when I'm literally talking about organizations that exist right now that need members and have been putting in work.

Look, I understand how people feel and I'm not trying to say "it's pointless" I'm saying the opposite. I'm saying it's pie in the sky to try and hoard economic power without funneling that power through the existing infrastructure that has been proven to work to help people. Don't lump me in with people who don't want to try. I'm actively sharing my resources with these organizations. Creating more organizations and movements literally harms unity by diluting the power. These groups do and should talk to one another and share information and power. What they need is young people bringing more energy into those movements.

Spending money on black businesses who will seek tax cuts from Republicans anyway isn't the move. The economy is in control of bosses when it needs to be in control of workers. That happens when people unionize, provide mutual aid, and have safety nets for those of us who will engage in direct action by shooting back or blowing up concentration camps, server farms, or counterprotesting nazis that are emboldened to parade through the streets to intimidate whatever black people live in the neighborhood.

This can be a useful hashtag to get people activated, but they need to take that energy to organizations who are currently putting in work.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Due to the effects of White supremacy,
There's been a plan available for 60 years to 'self-correct' the issues within the Black Community and, ironically, it was called 'racist'....

The fundamental importance and urgency of restoring the Negro American Family structure has been evident for some time. E. Franklin Frazier put it most succinctly in 1950:

"As the result of family disorganization a large proportion of Negro children and youth have not undergone the socialization which only the family can provide. The disorganized families have failed to provide for their emotional needs and have not provided the discipline and habits which are necessary for personality development. Because the disorganized family has failed in its function as a socializing agency, it has handicapped the children in their relations to the institutions in the community. Moreover, family disorganization has been partially responsible for a large amount of juvenile delinquency and adult crime among Negroes. Since the widespread family disorganization among Negroes has resulted from the failure of the father to play the role in family life required by American society, the mitigation of this problem must await those changes in the Negro and American society which will enable the Negro father to play the role required of him."

Nothing was done in response to Frazier's argument. Matters were left to take care of themselves, and as matters will, grew worse not better.

Gee I wonder how did we get bus protests, sit ins, organizations that supplied free breakfasts, marches, and civil rights and voting rights passed....without the internet :snoop:

This is a different era

There is not the same level of desperation

This also is something that will have maximum effect because it is online

This is not something illegal

I don't know why you think this is the underground railroad brother
