It would of definitely. Millions of white people voted for Trump but the election was lost in the battleground states by very small margins. More turnout from minorities for Kamala would of for sure gave her the election where she lost.Do you have any ideas or was that whole post a long winded version of “stop fighting”?
Cause immunity to electoral fukkery would have been great before the election AND once again cause I can’t say this enough. Even if Black, Asians, Arabs, and Latinos all voted for Kamala at higher numbers I don’t think it overcomes the amount of white women and white men Trump got. Trump made in roads with idiots of all races, but it was white people who did this and white people should own up to it.
Were we rolling heavy in those battleground states. It would have definitely. Millions of white people voted for Trump but the election was lost in the battleground states by very small margins. More turnout from minorities for Kamala would have for sure gave her the election where she lost.
A neoliberal Rogan won't work because hos appeal is that he's a "rebel"Tall task. The consultant class will lean more into the social media space and podcasts. That's one of the takeaways from this loss by some Democrats, "use more influencers"."we need our own Rogan". So we live permanently in the online space now.
We don't have any significant independent black movements so that's why many don't see a path for black people outside of electoral politics.
Like the last elections Trump won, we were enough if more of us actually voted. The percentage change is not more important than Black turnout being lower this election and white turnout being higher:Were we rolling heavy in those battleground states.
just to put it in perspective about 7 million black people voted in total and less than 1.5 mil voted for Trump, about 8.5 Latinos Latino voted and about 4.5. Voted for Trump.
about 50 million white women voted and 27 million voted for Trump.
I talk shyt to the Black MAGA followers here because they are stupid, but black people even in battle ground states wasn’t enough people to get Kamala elected.

While there are differences across the cities, a POLITICO analysis found the greatest decline in voter participation in all six appears to be in predominantly low-income Black and Hispanic neighborhoods. There were some shifts toward Trump, but it was ultimately the turnout drop in staunchly Democratic precincts that had the greatest impact on urban margins.
The analysis of nearly 3,000 precincts — the most granular election results available for the biggest cities in six of the presidential battleground states — across Philadelphia, Atlanta, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Phoenix and Las Vegas paints a vivid picture for why Harris lost ground. (Complete precinct results for Detroit, the biggest city in Michigan, were not available as of Friday.)
How individual voters cast their ballots is not known, but stark residential segregation along lines of race and class suggests clear patterns in which voters swung toward Trump the most, and who stayed home this time.
For instance, Trump received nearly 3,400 more votes than he had in 2020 across the 476 “predominantly Black” precincts in the six cities, defined for POLITICO’s analysis as places where at least 85 percent of residents are Black. But Harris received about 17,500 fewer than Biden had, a far greater impact on the overall margins.
That decline in city voter participation does not alone explain Harris’ defeat — Trump improved on his 2020 margins all across the battlegrounds, including in purple suburbs and rural red counties. But the turnout slump prevented Harris from building an urban firewall in areas that have long been bastions of Democratic power, and it portends challenges Democrats will have to address in future elections.

Strongly agree harris losing the election isnt because of black people. White men and women voted for trump along with strong numbers from the hispanic population and even the muslim vote which she tried to pander to was split as well, thats aside the fact that harris while a credible candidate wasn't the best of the lot. It is still important to call out the nonsense and rubbish of any one spreading right wing propaganda regardless of their race and trying to shill for trump. It's clear now that the challenges in this election go far beyond voter turnout. The political landscape has been shifting for decades, with the GOP moving further and further towards extremism, and the Democrats facing its own set of issues. While voter turnout could always be better, the blame shouldn't fall on Black voters. You're right that focus should be on larger systemic factors, like the rise of MAGA politics, the failure to improve the material conditions of those hurting the most, and the broader social and political shifts we're facing. However, there are Black people who stand as obstacles and they're just as much a problem as anyone else.
Stop fleeing and fix your homeland.
If they change the outcome in battleground states, yes they are. Were we rolling heavy in those battleground states.

Trump getting more coverage means nothing when people keep saying that “legacy media is dying” (shoutout Elon Musk) The dude that owns the platform that folks say will get news before the media is basically attached to Trump now. Just say people fell for what Trump and them delivered. It’s ok to say that now.trump won because there are fresh new 18 year old voters every election. The latest batch thought trump was funny and macho.
Juxtapose that with Kamala who never seemed confident whenever she spoke. Had no charisma.
Add to that Biden’s selfishness and unwillingness to realize how bad that first debate was.
The last weeek before the election displayed who wanted this the most.
In Kamala’s defense though, the news media gave trump more coverage. Mainly because they got more viewers that way. And they got viewers that way because trump was entertainment.
Add to that Elon musk using his platforms to deliberately shut out Kamala and instead promote trump.
Also, trump had some of his family members everywhere talking up negative sh1t about him, taking up even more media time.
at the end of the day, the Dems had a chance to win this but couldn’t escape the morass they dug themselves into by picking Kamala as the vp. Biden was so old they should have envisioned the possibility of him dying and them being stuck with a uncharismatic vp.
Exactly. It’s simple as shyt. It’s that supposedly smart black online posters don’t understand this. It’s almost like they’ve gotten new marching orders, no longer are they both sides it’s black people should excuse others no matter how bad their ignorance will hurt us as a whole. Also that “community” seems to be black podcasts that regurgitate white supremacists talking points wrapped up as black empowerment. I’m looking at the thread starter funnyThis is all that matters. There can't be this discussion about "the community" or desiring progress when a swath of us don't understand the real-time assignment.
If we had proper turnout and still lost that's a different story.
