So are brehs in here against buying politicians? I've said before that i think that's another thing more of us need to do. I agree that just voting isn't enough, but just sitting everything out (not just the elections, i mean politics in general) isn't productive either.

I don't think we should completely distance ourselves from politics yet, if we had as many businesses as Asians and were practicing group economics like they are, then ok but we aren't, i mean what do the "don't vote, fukk both parties" dudes suggest, because it always seems like they're saying don't do anything economically (they'll argue with you about starting businesses), and don't do anything politically, how is that gonna improve anything? It won't. If a group is gonna ignore politics, the group needs to have something else to where they don't even HAVE or NEED to care about it. We aren't at that place yet. Not even near it.

You act like this public policy was a miscalculation and not intentional legislation to disenfranchise black folk.

Of course I know it was intentional but my point remains that a different direction in the policy would've made a world of difference. And that's what sensible voting can do: make these "tweaks" to policy that can change history.

And yes if "we" went out and voted consistently at all levels "we" would a) be more aware when the enemy is trying disenfranchise us (b) get policy to shift in our direction. That was completely possible in the Obama era, but most blacks and white liberals never gave him the troops needed after his first two years by not voting in off elections.

I'm curious, how does this 'violent revolution' work...what comes the day after?

Explain how a potential nationwide stop and frisk program won't make things worse for blacks. Explain how appointing openly racists on the Supreme Court won't make things worst for blacks.

We all know that whites are racist but there are certainly extremes. There were abolitionists who were racist but that doesn't mean they were just as bad as the slave owners. This trump regime is going to get a lot of black peoppe caught up and will ultimately make it harder for blacks to maneuver than a Hillary regime would. I agree that the status quo is definitely NOT what Black Americans should be in accordance with but the problem with the OP is that it implies that a Trump Presidency won't be an even more White Supremacist Presidency.
