Black people are doing just fine

most of these fakkits that say these things are just looking for attention. They want to seem deep and conscious, but they end up looking like a pseudo-intellectual. they say these things to hear themselves talk. They don't give a fukk about the black community.

It takes a village to uplift a child, man. That is why it's so hard to do.

Black people have made great progress throughout the years, countless doors have been opened and many opportunities are available. The problem is that we have become complacent and are not taking advantage of these opportunities. Many people are too busy complaining instead of doing...or we are too busy tearing each other down instead of building each other up.

I'm so tired of reading threads about black people this and that. "the black family structure is fukked" "the black community is in shambles" "nikkas is lazy" "black women are fat" and on and on.

fukk all that. As a whole black people are doing great. How long should it take a community to fight from slavery to power, from poverty to affluence?

We went from 1/3 of a human/slave to occupying the presidency within 100 years. As a whole we are much better off than we were 10 years ago, and 10 years ago they were better off than their predecessors. We currently have an 80% HS graduation rate. More and more of us are college educated. We are CEOs, business owners, teachers, doctors, lawyers, and everything in between. Yes there are some issues that need to be addressed as with all communities. But to say "the black community is in shambles" is just untrue. Something must be working right within our community for so many of us to be improving our lives.

I was just talking about this earlier. I remember in the early 90's the media and even other blacks were saying black men will be extinct by the year 2000 and we are still here and growing. The only thing I think is our biggest negative is that we still have some of the slavery lifestyle and thinking that is hurting us. Like our diet. I don't think people realize how whites used to eat whole healthy foods like quality cuts of meat, and have good fats like butter while we needed the intestines, necks and other lower quality meats and used pig fat as our fat which is not good for health inside and out.

Do you know how many of us will be healthier just by eating butter or, even better, clarified butter with our collard greens instead of turkey neck or fatback. Clarified butter is crazy healthy when eaten with green leafy vegetables as it enhances the nutrient absorption. Plus women will have a whole lot of nice, healthy kinky hair instead of the dried shyt they have now and need bullshyt just to maintain it. They will be able to straighten it, make it curly and still go back to the natural look with no problem. They can do that now but it may weaken the hair overtime if their diet isn't high in nutrients to strengthen the hair and scalp. More men can have waves naturally instead of using grease and wavecaps.

With all the challenges we are and were up against we still did better then the white supremest powers wanted it to be because WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE IN THESE BIG NUMBERS, WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE EITHER GONE OR HAVE A LOW POPULATION WHERE WE CAN BE CONTROLLED. THIS IS A FACT.

Immigrants as a whole out perform Americans for the most part because Americans take life for granted. Immigrants come here and work their asses off. This is why it's not a race issue, but a cultural issue. Africans come to America and out perform everyone. And yes, even the poor people from other countries will come here and do well. It's this hunger. This motivation. This drive. I really salute foreigners who come here and kick ass. It's a beautiful thing. It has been said that a longer a group is in America the more complacent they become.

I grew up with mostly foreigners and most of them stayed in the poor or lower, working, middle class. This idea that most foreigners come here and make it to live an upper middle class lifestyle is a straight lie. You have a few but for how much that come here it isn't the idea that most of them do it. People always compare, AT THE MOST, 4,000,000 people to over 40,000,000 blacks who been here for hundreds of years and had to fight for EVERYTHING they have.

Do you know the reasons whites from europe was coming here in droves in the early 1900's was because the powers that be knew that if they didn't get more white people to up their population the blacks would take over because blacks were high in the south and gaining population?. They gave incentives to come here while blocking the blacks from getting their 40 acres and a mule. 40 acres and a mule is POWER as it is what you needed for food and shelter. They would allow them housing, jobs that they wouldn't allow for blacks. The foreigners who didn't benefit from this still could blend in with white society by changing their last names, get some money and help their families in the old country or here and eventually come up. Blacks couldn't do this so they fought for what they needed. This is the real reason why Martin Luther King Jr. was killed, he wanted to fight against the injustices of blacks and poverty and was going to have a march on Washington and he got killed right before it was supposed to happen. They saw how powerful he was when he helped the bus transit system lose money since they wouldn't let blacks sit in the front by boycotting them and having blacks all over the country not use it.

People need to learn the truth about this country and stop living in some fantasy about foreigners coming here and working hard and living good which is essentially stating blacks aren't trying hard enough and are lazy. If that was the case why are Mexicans still living in such high poverty in southern cali and texas when those states has always been high with them?. They should have been living big time, no gang violence, control the government and the jobs there but it is only now starting to get like this and even then they aren't the boss's out there like they should be. It's racism plain and simple and if you can mingle you can gain some momentum. If you can't you have to fight extra hard.
