People in general bring him up for EVERY black fighter role. Dude isn't even that great of an actor (competent, but not that great), but it's all they know. I like that the Marvel movies have gone for VERY good actors for the most part, and they should continue that trend.
I like the suggestion of Chiwetel Ejiofor personally. He can act. And he can fight convincingly if need be.

MJW is about as good as an actor as a good 1/2 of the other heroes in the Avengers, more than enough to play the roles he's been suggested to play for sure and he has the physical attributes as well that the part calls for. Why hate on him or towards cats that vouch for him.
And I like Chiwetel as much as the next guy that knows of him, but I wouldn't want him for BP or Luke Cage TBH. I could see him for Bishop though if they ever went down that right.

Just off of that redbelt trailer, Ejiofor seems like he could be a good casting.
Real talk tho, T'Challa wears a full body cat suit... so the actual actor ain't even gonna be fighting *that* much if they ain't really talking about that life. And even if they had to, you saw how they made Scarlett Johansson look like she could kick anyone's ass even tho she prob never did anything more than slap a nygga before becoming an actress
Just like with the Iron Man movies, its all about getting an actor that can exude charisma and make a killing almost every scene as the "alter ego". Downey Jr. as Tony Stark is what made Iron Man. Shoot, if not for him not having the necessary accent (and now just being too old) I would've wanted Denzel as T'Challa for years now.. simply because dude is an example of that kinda actor who can take over every scene and either son whoever or just keep s-hit interesting.

T'Challa is a king with Genius Level intellect....I don't see anything about MJW (as much as I DO like him) that tells me he can do all that. People are just thinking action....and we know all of these Marvel movies go just as much into the characters and their lives as they do into the action. I don't see that layer from Jai White. I could buy him more as Cage, personally.
As I've said before Latino Review is one of the best places on the 'net for information about movies....so if they reported on this, it's pretty much 100% confirmed. They were the first site I seen that said Thanos was in "The Avengers", like a year before the movie came out.
