I am not a dark soul guy at all I thought this would ve like devil may cry or steller blade but a lot more that souls based game play

Same. Bought it on steam, played for 2 hours, got my refund. I'll wait til it's on sale eventually.

Has anybody played the new modes in the latest update? I'm kinda scared to start a new cycle until the DLC drops. I don't want to get caught in the middle of the cycle and have to finish it before I can start the DLC.

Yea, one is a Boss Gauntlet/Survival type joint(Legends). One challenge has you fighting all the Tigers. Good luck. Lol
The other is all the Bosses(Return of Rivals) that you've fought and unlocked, with 3 different difficulties to choose to fight them in.

the way most of the bosses are in the gauntlet should how they eventually become in ng+. any well optimized build can still tear through them, but at least they somewhat punish you for fukking up.
