I am getting cooked :why: But the bosses kinda easy, just all the other shyt. Got jumped by like 3 blind monks.
i hated pretty much every boss in this chapter

the thunder dragon was the worst boss fight i've palyed in a long time
the woman who can turn into a thunder dragon
the buddha world was a fukking PAIN to play through
the monk boss who constantly dodges was super annoying
the treasure hunter boss was annoying, mostly bc the game kept frame dropping. Prolly cuz his moves were fukking up the fps
the ice monk spirit boss hit like a truck (he actually isnt annoying to play against, but he is a difficult boss)

almost wanted to stop playing. Many of my gripes in this game come from just this chapter. So much to dislike

Chapter 3 was a grind but I loved it :wow:

Say brehs, I just finished Chapter 5 (Bull King's story was also sad as hell, wtf :mjcry:) and I wanna ask -without getting spoiled- when should I go to the Great Pagoda? I've done all the secret bosses so far so I wanna know if it's ok to just finish chapter 6 and then go back to the Great Pagoda or is it something that I should do on NG+? :patrice:@Dillah810

I was trying red tide and pluck but using the heavy red tide attack. I'll try light more tomorrow
Do light attacks until you can unlock the "dodge + heavy attack" ultimate he has, that always deals good damage. Use Red Tides and Pluck of Many. ASAP. Don't use them unlessY you are sure ellow Loong isn't close to lose his shyt, go in the air and starts does that series of charge attacks that deal massive damage (and you can't hit him). Best way I found was throw everything at him at first, then survive (read below) and wait till all your spells are back and do one final massive attack with everything.

I'll c/p what I wrote a couple of days ago about that fight
The main thing I learned is that you do not get close to him, ever. If you keep your distance, he wont attack and you will be able to charge Thrust Stance with 3 focus points (this is key because it's the only stance that covers the distance needed for Loong not to be aggressive) and hit him once without doing anything but charging your focus. Once you hit him, just wait till he does his charge attack -it wont take long, so don't start charging again because he will get you- dodge whatever combo (he usually uses the same one over and over again) he does and then make sure you are at a good distance again. He wont do a thing but slowly walk towards you, which gives you time to charge Thrust Stance fully and hit him "for free" again. You can do this over and over until he goes nuts, goes up in the air and does the series of charge attacks towards you, if you can't get a hold of those attacks and safely dodge, use Cloud Step.

I started the fight throwing everything I had at him so I could get him to 65-50% of his life bar. Then it was just a game of patience doing the stuff I wrote in the first paragraph until I could get my spells and transformations back (with a mirage pill).

Just about to head into new game plus with all bosses killed

Overall a really good game, brought down by some jank

Some of the worst hitboxes I have seen in a soulslike on the more giant bosses, I died a lot simply because my big slam attacks wouldn’t register I’d hit them despite being on top of them

Button commands during High intensity fights just plain not registering that I hit the button…gourd usage, spirit use ect, doesn’t happen often, but has got me killed a handful of times

Good items that are also tied to trophies being only available due to MMO style RNG, why in a single player game are there items with extremely low drop rates only available once every real time half hour?

Minor Framerate issues

Constant Invisible walls, this is a very minor nitpick, it didn’t bother me like it did a lot of other people

I have still really enjoyed it tho, to me it’s tied with Lies Of P for the best non-From Soft Soulslike

8.5/10

I can never get see through right. I've probably only seen through an attack three times the entire time I've played so far

Yeah it's tough but if you can get it, it allows you to stay aggressive and just shred anyone until NG++

I made myself learn it in NG so I'd switch between smash/thrust a lot
I felt thrust's see through has a wider window for see throughs
