Son you're missing the theme of the episode. The main guy seemed like a victim throughout. Kid was being blackmailed for doing something fairly mundane but that anyone, particularly an awkward kid like him would freak out if posted publicly. So you feel bad for him. Bron was also somewhat sympathetic because yea, cheating is wrong but he hadn't actually done it yet and you didn't want to see him lose his family over that. The people pulling the strings were wrong, evil and taking advantage of normal people for financial gain. However that only works IF everyone absolutely did their part. You can't assume an average guy would rather rob a bank than fess up to an online affair to his wife. You can't assume a kid would rather rob a bank and risk being shot or imprisoned to avoid a jerk off video of him going public (rather common these days anyway). You have to be sure they'll comply no matter what. That's why the reveal that the guy in the woods was a pedo mattered. The money wasn't for the gain of the person texting them, it was 'prize money'. They were both willing to fight to the death not because of some slight embarrassment or even potential break ups but because their lives would literally be ruined if people found out what they were. The point was that NONE of those guys were sympathetic or victims, they were ALL unsympathetic which is why they ALL did what they were told. The black dude's woman was asking him 'is that you've become? A dirty, sick, disgusting, pervert? Is that what you are?' (checked the subtitles). The white chick was a racist. If all Bron is is a cheater its out of line with everyone else who clearly have some evil, irredeemable traits

That's assuming racism is on the same level as pedophilia....which is a massive stretch.

There is no common theme, other than people were manipulated into this "game" based on things that would ruin their life. For Bron, losing his kids would ruin his life. He said he'd commit suicide if he lost them.

It doesn't matter what we personally think about the characters. Or how bad their respective evils are to us, the audience. What matter is how serious it was to them.

Besides, there's really no logical way to go from "I was browsing 20 year olds (and he specifically mentions the age) on a website" to "they (the trolls) sent me pics of a kid"....who he then sent dikk pics to. If he was into kids he would've been looking for them in the first place.

I mean....imagine you're trying to cheat on your wife....on a dating site, looking at 20ish year old girls....and somebody contacts you with pedo porn. shyt makes no sense whatsoever. Even at the end, when his wife has all the pics and texts and info of their exchange she just says "Mindy" like she's angry and hurt by it all....not disgusted because Mindy is a kid.

So while watching the show as a viewer youre wondering why he's going through all this for a fairly mundane act. It's not about admitting it, it's about giving details that make no sense in the context of what you're saying.

Bronn said he'd lose the custody battle for his kids if his wife found out about Mindy....why would he say some shyt like that if he's a pedophile? There would be no custody battle, it's a moot point.

And pedo kid didn't technically lie....he was jerking it to pictures. The twist comes from the pics being of a kid. For Bronn, it's not a lie by omission, like the kid. He made up an elaborate story to explain his situation to a stranger....why would he do that? He could've just said "they're gonna send some pics and texts to my wife".

Not to mention, when the kid brings the cake Bronn is waiting for Mindy. In a well known hotel....in broad day light....with a camera to video tape it. Which makes sense if it's an escort, like he said....but makes no sense if it's a kid.

Lastly, if Mindy is a kid, why didn't his wife react with disgust like the black guy's family, or the kid's mom? She reacted like a grown woman, who was getting cheated on.

I'm going to look for Charlie Brooker or one of the actors to comment on this, because what happened was pretty cut and dry to me. I never thought for a second Bronn was a pedophile too, any more than I thought the old racist business woman was one.

I guess it depends on what point the show is trying to make. His was the only sin that is somewhat relatable and forgiveable to the average viewer meaning he is the only somewhat sympathetic victim. Thats why I assumed the point is that none are sympathetic or reedemable which meant his crime had to be worse than he let on
