Good program/apprenticeship + fantastic health insurance + focused networking = prospering

Underwater welding and the like are even more lucrative from what I’ve heard.

My caution is a strong union, well-negotiated contracts, and rock-insurance are a MUST.

Don't be looking at those online sites :russ:

Anything related to Pipe welding is $50 an hour or more. Even Pipe welder helpers make like 60k a year

Underwater Welders make like $2000 a week, and that's on the low end

TIG welding (If it ain't Pipe) is $85k a year or more

Experienced Fabrication welders make at least 60-70k

The only low pay welders you see are the assembly line welders at a manufacturing plant, basic skills welders

This

And that's not considering all the OT opportunities maintenance/fabrication jobs have. You could easily work 50+ hours a whole year with these gigs.

Slow day at the office, so a coworker showed me how to use the mig welder. My worms are super thin, how do i go about adding some girth, brehs?(no dame). I think the flux we're using was .35

Also, is there a way to prevent burning through thinner metals when doing corner joints?
