Neo. The Only. The One.
THE ONE
I get what he's saying. I plan to be a millionaire by 2025, so I changed careers to be able to facilitate that. I couldn't stay where I was. I had to make my world bigger.
Not necessarily… sometimes the more you make, the less you do.Some people stop climbing because the more pay you get the more responsibility is thrown at you.
Boston, Kentucky maybe...Lmao![]()
Isn’t Boston a high CoL area? IDK about that.Breh 70k a year in Boston has you living comfortable
Its about perspective
I’m not talking about just climbing. With 15 years of experience that man should be clearing 80K+ as a base salary for that position easily. Some people stop climbing because the more pay you get the more responsibility is thrown at you.
I’m not miserable. I get the whole wanting to be comfortable thing but it just annoyed me seeing breh settle for that salary when he could easily be making more.damn you miserable
We need unions as a stepping stone. End of story. Highly skilled workers (used to) get exploited (before the Pandemic). Even now, employers are greedy and dont believe in social mobility.
I was just on IG yesterday and saw this video in my feed.
This shyt annoyed me for some reason. Breh has been a field service technician for 15 years making $70K.
I’ve been doing field technician work for a little over 3 years and am making more than that and I’m planning to get the fukk out this field next year cause that really ain’t shyt.![]()
Tattoos, lack of upkeep (hair and beard) and dressing ghetto can pigeonhole someone just as much as a lack of education. Folks needs to learn early on that the gift of Gabe while being clean cut can take you places if you lack the degrees and certs. Need to also pad your resume to community leadership roles like volunteering. My advice to people I always check as many boxes as you can to make yourself undeniable. Big companies are pushing DEI programs so being a monitory right now is a big push you just have to have something on your resume other than fast food joints.
I’m not miserable. I get the whole wanting to be comfortable thing but it just annoyed me seeing breh settle for that salary when he could easily be making more.![]()
You are arguing for what?
I literally just agreed with you. You nikkas are mad but where is all that anger being channeled to constructively? We all know what the problem is. I don’t need you to continue stating the problem. We don’t need more angry but useless nikkas.
What we need are real solutions and to stop taking this shyt like a joke.
Being in logistics with no degree sucks. I dread the day I have to get a “real” job in Atlanta. You don’t know what that brother has been through to get to that 70k salary that may have him sitting pretty based what his financial situation is. I make about the same as bro and the path to get here was the hardest shyt I’ve ever had to go through in my life with all the layoffs, disrespect and setbacks I experienced that literally depressed me.
I’m so fukking tired of the need to put BM down when they are comfortable living at a particular income level because other people don’t view it as much. nikkas always gotta shoot down a breh happy to be succeeding just because it’s not what they deem as success. That shyt is corny dawg, can a nikka ever feel like he’s worth something?
What year is this? And everywhere is not Wisconsin.$70K is great and way above average, when I was in Wisconsin I was making $35/hr as maintenance tech in a warehouse, and that's before raises and overtime.
Anyone saying $70k is not a lot is just bad with money management
70k is above and average and above the median. If you don't know how to manage money just say that. What year is this? And everywhere is not Wisconsin.
70K in 2023 is not a lot.
I knew you were going to do this. The "average" American doesn't have emergency savings and is 3 months from being on the street thanks to wages not matching COL.70k is above and average and above the median. If you don't know how to manage money just say that.
