For me it's a close call between silk press and braids with beads on the end

It's really fascinating to hear all these responses to natural hair. Many Black women have had everything from relaxed hair to weave to microbraids to a completely shaved head to sisterlocs to afro to twists and twist outs. The level of interest from men on the street seems to fluctuate depending on the style but I feel like I got the most compliments from strangers when I had locs and even now when I have a kinky fro but I do think when I had a straight up weave I got more cold approaches for a date.

Were the type of men who cold approached you different based your hairstyle? Was this happening in similar places and over similar time periods? Which one was you rocking first, the natural styles or the weaves?
