Nah. My car started trippin at 70K.

Abd that's being kept in a garage away from Supreme heat or cold, and the recommended oil changes and the recommended incremental maintenance.

Some ppl get lucky with vehicles and some dont
:comeon: what car did you have?

I'm not going to get into the logistics of it all but there's a domino effect. You can get the regularly scheduled maintenance but if you get behind or put off one thing like riding with one tire that's too low, or not chaging your spark plugs until your car starts misfiring or won't start or perform correctly there's basically a chain effect that starts and if you get too far behind basically you're effecting the total lifespan of your car and you're going to have to do something major like steering correction or engine repair. I know because I've done it myself and I've witnessed it more often than not by people who just neglect their cars then every 3-5 years are like "I need a new car." Not want, need. "Well it's been doing this, this and this..." "I'm starting to take it in more and more ...."

It's just like going to the doctor to get a physical or general checkup. If you only go when your sick, by the time you just get a physical or general check up to see how you're doing (when there's not anything wrong) there's going to be a laundry list of things you need to work on, manage, monitor.

Toyota trucks are fukking solid for real. Its why they're so popular among militias, rebels, guerilla groups and insurgents. They're fast, extremely durable, have good fuel economy, excellent ground clearance and 4WD systems, plus parts are easy to find and because they're so common pretty much all mechanics know how to fix them up. They got space in the back to mount a gun or transport a bunch of gunmen, so they're pretty much perfect low-cost war vehicles, far superior to US Army Humvees.

They're the most commonly stolen vehicle here in Australia. People jack them, put them on containers and ship them overseas for quick and easy money

I can easily believe this if he kept up with the maintenance from a reputable dealer.... I put over 400k on a 2000 Taurus until I wrecked it about 4 years ago... engine and trans had no sign of giving out..... Cars made after 2005 should give you 300k miles without any real hiccups.... otherwise, they'd be a waste money...
I have a strange feeling it’s the opposite with these newer cars. They don’t build them to last like cars from the 80’s/90’s because they keep pumping out upgraded models every 3-4 years and want you in them. Those 4th gen Taurus’ were damn near bulletproof. But them 5th gen Taurus’/Fusion were absolutely :trash:

So that's like an average of about 275 mile driven per day every day for 10 years straight or 100k miles per year.

I doubt he drove that many miles every day because that's like 5 or 6 hours of driving.

maybe he got a mail route or newspaper route. I know a guy who delivers newspapers and trade magazines to gas stations and hotels.

He drives 250 miles a day (jackson, ms to grenada to greenwood to yazoo city then back to jackson)

He's been doing it for about 10 years.

He's on his 3rd car.

A Volkswagen.

Trust me when a tell you, it's just a problem. Some ppl dont do any suggested maintenance on their vehicles, and only go when stuff actually breaks...and thry can hit 150k easily
