No.

I mean integration.

A white man in Africa is in a place of priviledge so does not need to adopt their culture to survive...trust me enough buttlicking sambos to accomodate him. Nigeria is a former British Colony he can get away speaking English.

He immigrates and he integrates His place of priviledge will mean he can get away with simply integrating and not assimilating

Assimilation is when it is a question of survival. So some people in the UK are annoyed that Muslims here don't integrate. You can move somewhere and neither integrate or assimilate.

I am saying that this is being a culture vulture then you started talking about black mexicans or whatever :snoop:

Lol you dont know what the hell you are talking about so I will end this here.

Love
NOPE.

I love how some of you try to categorize everything about someone with so little information about said person.

But if you must know....I grew up in a 2 parent home. And when my mother divorced/separated from my father, my father had custody of me and i lived with my dad alone for 5 years while my mother moved here to the U.S. I didnt live with my mom again until i was 16.
So try again, darling. :smugbiden:
But @LadySimone ,

Did you grow up in a two parent home? Do you know people that didnt?

I'm honestly asking because I never understood the obsession on the coli about one parent vs 2 parent homes. Not to sound like a republican when i say this but there is this (what i call) LEBERAL culture of blaming everything in someone behavior on their upbringing as if it's not their fukkin fault. And we try to nitpick everything about their upbringing to blame it on. I feel like it's an attempt to "pass the buck" or "pass blame" if you ask me but :manny:. Not that i'm a "pull your self up by your own bootstraps" conservative type but i feel people should own their behaviors no matter how their childhood impacted them/
I grew up in Haiti and out of all my friends on my neighborhood ere in two parent homes except for these two boys i was friends with who's mom divorced. I honestly never noticed any difference between them and myself who was ina two parent home. Granted their dad was part of their lives while living in another country 7 flight hours away.

So no.. That Hes only like that because he didnt have a dad" dont fly wth me.

El Compa Negro getting a plat thread on the Coli :blessed::banderas: :wow:. Most musicians perform with the purpose of getting laid so I don't see the issue with what he's doing. :myman:

He said he's american, he's not faking his background. It is no different than american white musician having a love for flamenco music and just following his dream to play flamenco music in Spain. If you are accepted, it isn't cultural disrespect.

This is what I said, he's been honest w/ his background. He isnt pretending to be anything, he's in love with a culture that he loved so much, he was willing to go the extra mile.
He fukking moved to Mexico, he did the groundwork.

His friends should maybe look to that as inspiration that he made his dream happen so goddamn fast. That's my take away from all of this.

My spainsh is rusty but I think that balled headed dude on the end was hating on him because he's a black american trying to get into the mexican-spainish scene. Correct me if I'm wrong. But the other three was like let that man cook if he can sing it.

I really hate when people single out artists individually and just start carnival barking that this is offensive. It seems like if person is a success at it, thats when people really start disapproving. IF he was singing on the streets and he had a senorita, no one would have a problem.

If you really want to talk cultural appropriation offenses, this isn't it. The mexican people have accepted him. now maybe you haven't accepted him, but you arent a fukking factor. If people start picketing his shows & performances, then thats an issue I guess. But they aren't offended, some people on the internet seem to take issue w/ it..

Object to it all you want, he doesnt give a fukk and he's likely going to marry someone there and be happy w/ his choice. Let's hope the drug cartel doesn't have a issue w/ El Compa Negro storming the scene. My best wishes to anyone who wants to move to mexico and become the next Tejano sensation. Life is too goddamn short to expend energy & analysis why someone can't do something.
