Forgot about this situation until seeing it bumped. Just started watching Miko Worldwide's videos on YT. Situation here timestamped in DR could have potentially went sideways. Dude in the black shirt, you could see the werewolf in his eyes starting to come out like the moon was full. Folks playing around in foreign hoods.

I was just out there for a week and made a thread about it.

I asked several of the locals what the deal was with that situation and they all had the same story no matter where I asked. Dude partner made it out and just upped and left so if there was some bullshyt involved then idk why he’s being quiet about it.

like I said before, didn’t experience anything that made me feel odd but I generally don’t because of my stature obviously. I bought and smoked hella weed from locals and only traveled with off the book drivers. They treated me with hella love everywhere I got dropped off and i went to la Puerla while I was in old San Juan, them other Dominican projects in San Juan, and few other spots with some off the books ass uber nikka. Once I told him we were from Chicago, then the hood olympics started :beli: but im use to that shyt. Like mfs really have a point to prove, everywhere, when you tell them you from Chicago. My girl notices this shyt and she from new York via Zimbabwe.

that all being said, there’s been an uptick of tourists recently acting like tourists which obviously is irritating some of the locals but they need the money so once again, it is what it is. And that’s where I think the underlying issue is.

Side note but Like I said before, even with the mask shyt everyone is on code. Like they don’t play around, have noses out or none of that shyt like we do here. I felt hella out of place everyone I forgot my mask somewhere. I only say that to say that our ( American ) casualness in that regard could be gave them out there low key hot anyway as far just thinking we can do what we want where we want :pachaha:

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Three U.S. tourists were stabbed in Puerto Rico early Monday after police said someone told them to stop filming in a renowned seaside community known as La Perla that is popular with visitors.

The confrontation began when one of the tourists, who lives in South Carolina, began filming a mobile hamburger cart and was told to stop and leave the area, police said.
Two of the tourists remain hospitalized, including one who was stabbed six times, police said.

No one has been arrested.

The attack happened nearly two years after a tourist from Delaware was killed and set on fire after police said he was warned not to take pictures while buying drugs in La Perla. A friend of his also was beaten but survived.

La Perla is located in the historic part of Puerto Rico’s capital known as Old San Juan and became famous after it was featured in the video of “Despacito,” a song released in 2017 by Puerto Rican singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

The community was once a dangerous slum considered the island’s biggest distribution point for heroin, but crime has dropped since a 2011 raid by federal agents.
