here we go with the "cool" argument. :dead: i swear alot of this shyt boils down to raw jealousy. black men have been traditionally promoted more in the media (that we dont own or control) fine, i get that, but that's not a privilege, i'm talking about something tangible. yeah, we can assimilate easier at parties or social functions; but when it comes time for employment or being penalized through the justice system -- all that cool shyt gets thrown out the window.

You guys are treated better in the black community and out of the black community, I dont get why you think BW are treated better than you guys. Its not jealousy im just saying black women aren't really favored unless they're overweight, loud, and funny. And with the employment thing black men still make more money why dont you understand that? most high paying jobs have more men than women. You will find more black men in STEM fields than black women. if a black woman and white woman do a crime im pretty sure the black woman would be punished worse, so its all the same thing. A black woman even told me she would rather be a black man than a black woman, you guys do have it easier than your counterparts it is what it is.

Do you think these are BS?

  • If I’m a teen or adult, and if I can stay out of prison, my odds of being raped are relatively low.
  • I will never be expected to change my name upon marriage or questioned if I don’t change my name.
  • Every major religion in the world is led primarily by people of my own sex. Even God, in most major religions, is pictured as male.
  • I will never be expected to change my name upon marriage or questioned if I don’t change my name.

If that is a problem to them then they are the privileged ones

Maybe because the people that created those religions had penises or better yet perhaps GOD is male
can you disprove it?

C'mon breh. Black men catch this same shyt.

I mean sometimes I feel privileged in a room full of women. I feel listened to and have sexual agency a lot of women don't, but black women also get some advantages I don't get as a black man. I just have a problem when people ignore the black part and just link me to male privilege. There are definite instances where being a male harms me because I am also black. I always thought the double minority label was extra basic. As if someone looks at people in parts and not as a whole. Nobody sees a black male as a male and gives them male privilege, we are treated as black men always.

I understand.

I forgot to realize that there are things that actually do work in black women's favor; higher percentage of black women being educated, less outrage in interracial dating, less brutality in prison and by cop compared to their male counterparts, etc.

It's not about "black male privilege," it's about male privilege. I really don't understand the point the OP is trying to make, no offense.

This is a society dominated by men, and even those who are below white men still benefit from gender inequality.

Black men and men in general work longer hours, take less days off and work more dangerous jobs

If a man and a woman worked the same job for the same hours and neither of them has employee
seniority over the other they would get the same pay

And black males actually die of stress related inflictions due to racism at a higher rate than black women (white men do as well, go figure) and i take it you already know about police gleefully using us for target practice

Sexism goes both ways and it's far greater and far more excused when inflicted on men

ehhh theres been several studies saying even if a woman works the same job, same hours, and even overtime the men will still make more I can actually pull up an article stating this if you would like to see it. OK would you as a black man want to trade places with a black woman? i bet the answer is hell no because you know deep down your life would be worse. The police target all men of color and black women are included in that.

black men could be more educated if they chose to go to school, no ones stopping black men from getting an education.

On the first part, I agree in regards to men often are shunned or criticized for being "unmanly" if they report their rape, so that causes them to not report it as much. But in terms of full-on, I assault this person and rape her while she cries out no? You can't tell me that happens with men as much as it does with women.

I don't get what you mean by the second part. The article is written in the perspective of a male. He's saying that a guy is never expected to change his family name; women must give up their name pretty much every time unless they are celebrities.

Can you prove that God is a male? None of us know what God looks like, so it doesn't make sense to assume he has a penis. Assuming that he has one is a very textbook example of male privilege to be honest.
You mention that religion was made by males; yeah, it was. Male privilege after all is a factor. It doesn't mean that men making religion is inherently bad, it's just an observation of how our society is.

black men could be more educated if they chose to go to school, no ones stopping black men from getting an education.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that a good amount of the black women advantages aren't even societally enforced, that anymore, so I didn't think if it even counted.

Of course, anyone is welcome to prove me wrong; I don't want to be stubborn about anything.

I wouldn't trade places with any person. What a ass backwards way to look at life. We can cherry pick all day on either side. Black men don't benefit from white patriarchy. Even when we do we don't. And when we don't we don't. In this system I'm only a man anatomically. Black man isn't man same way salt water isn't water, or is if you like, but at the end of the day shyt is very different.

You guys are treated better in the black community and out of the black community,

how? where is all this prominence and reverence? black men are getting killed out here by other black men, how are BW being treated worse? domestic violence?

I dont get why you think BW are treated better than you guys. Its not jealousy im just saying black women aren't really favored unless they're overweight, loud, and funny.

i think both genders receive a raw deal, but jewish media has you believing some other shyt. i mean, just because they like loud, overweight, animated black women on tv, doesn't mean it works that way in real life. in fact, its the exact opposite. :what:

And with the employment thing black men still make more money why dont you understand that? most high paying jobs have more men than women. You will find more black men in STEM fields than black women.

yeah because your nursing degree has a glass ceiling, especially over the black man in the STEM field :what:

if a black woman and white woman do a crime im pretty sure the black woman would be punished worse, so its all the same thing.

what's your point?that just proves it's your race, not your gender, thats causing your oppression

A black woman even told me she would rather be a black man than a black woman, you guys do have it easier than your counterparts it is what it is.

okay, and? there's a lot of black women out here with a bad case of dikk envy

Why should men be seen as privilege for creating or influencing things?

There are many female "gods" and were many places in ancient time where the women ruled and influenced everything

if the male kingdoms and ideas stood the test of time then maybe those kingdoms and ideas were better

If were the other way around would women be upset and consider themselves privileged
