Money and building a clientele.

The chair cost around 2k and needs to be connected to plumbing. The table cost around 300. You also need colors, gel, dip, and etc . Plus water, electricity, and etc. It adds up.

Most Black girls who do nails either do it within a salon/spa or have their own in house type of deal but only do fingernails.

Those Asian salons, if you look closely in the video, are filled with cheap workers who can do a basic job on toes and fingers for 40. Meanwhile, Black salon charge a bit more because of this lack of cheap workers. Like I paid around 75 for toenails by a BW and she worked out of a spa.
