Matt Canada is the problem?

Not the Quarterback who still isn't on the same page with his WRs 11 weeks into the season?
Not Struggle Cuts Jr who basically lost his job to Jaylen Warren?

Ok

I can't believe I'm saying this but trubisky would move the offense better than pickett

You know how bad Kenny Pickett is?

The Steelers are 6-4. And if they had Baker Mayfield they might be undefeated. Or 9-1 if you give them that 49ers loss no matter what.
Kenny Pickett is THAT BAD.

(Incidentally, Baker Mayfield has been fairly average)

This is a type of move that the old Browns would have done after a bad loss to the Steelers.

That franchise is starting to break and I’m here for it :mjlit: .

It's It's move that had to be done. His route combinations, playcalling is absolute trash. For as well as Warren was running on Sunday he only ran the ball 9 times and didn't even touch the ball the last two offensive series. Dumb.

Freiermuth said last season we didn't even have hot reads to beat blitzes:gucci:

The decision came from team president Art Rooney II after watching the Steelers average just 16.1 points in 10 games and seeing quarterback Kenny Pickett struggle to develop in his second season.

Normally I would agree with you but this appears to be the one rare instance when Ownership did make the call. They typically do not do this

I'm not mad at it even if it was Art. Pittsburgh forced his hand.

I don't think Najee is bad, TBH. He's just not fast. Warren's faster and quicker, but the big thing really is that Warren runs with more decisiveness on a regular basis.

That said, Najee also indicated that Cleveland basically knew the plays any time he was out there, and I wonder if they are the only defense that had such a read.

I posted the following in fantasy football thread before the season

Tons…TONS of upside here. But it does come with risk.

The word is that Buffalo doesn’t want Josh Allen to run as much near the goal line. Maybe he listens. Maybe he doesn’t. But James Cook has the potential for a massive season if he’s getting those touches, playing for one of the best teams this year.

I think the other big upside player here is Brandon Aiyuk. Yeah. They have McCaffrey. And Deebo. But Aiyuk is probably the best receiver of the 3. All it takes is an injury to one of the other guys…or maybe he’s simply left open because of the attention the other guys command. But Aiyuk could break out here. Not saying he’s a top 10 WR. But depending on where you drafted him I like this player a lot.

Pickens, I’m not sure about.

Waddle is great. It just depends who gets the looks in Miami on that particular week.

Lockett probably takes a firm backseat to DK Metcalf this year. But he’s a good player.

I don’t know how LIKELY it is, but there could be a path to Jaylen Warren becoming the RB1 by season’s end. At this point I’m not sure there’s anything Najee Harris does much better than him. I just think Pittsburgh invested so much draft capital in him that they want to give Harris every chance possible to prove he can’t be elite before moving on.

Justin Fields is a risk. He’s possibly a top 10 fantasy QB because of his rushing ability. But I don’t think he’s ever going to show that passing accuracy that takes his game to the next level. You’re smart to have Geno as insurance.

The point of sharing this is....even I knew that Jaylen Warren had the ability to outperform Najee Harris this season. And if my goofy self knew this shyt, the Steelers definitely knew it. So it makes you question why they kept insisting on running Harris out there.

I mean even the Rams cut their losses with Cam Akers immediately.
