that's different. but do you have stats to prove that's the vast majority?

That's what I thought. Married people and other people who are in committed relationships are getting burned because someone in the relationship is not trustworthy. That should be addressed. You can look up stats yourself since my question did not ask about a vast majority but the over simplification of a terrible epidemic.

I blame the culture for not allowing those dudes to be as gay as they want. If there were no fear of people attacking them for being who they are, or being discriminated against across various avenues, or ostracized in their own communities... they'd have nothing to hide. Yes, it's shytty to lead a dual life and deceive their spouses in the case of married down low men, but they don't live in a vacuum. There's a reason why they're hiding and it's not because that's their ideal situation.

Long story short, they shouldn't NEED a "safe house".

I'm not going to go into details of what actually takes place when a person pledges.

When you pledge expect:

Physical Pain
Mental Pain
Exhaustion

Physical pain comes from the paddle, activities, or guys punches/slaps.
-You can get hit for not remembering the Greek alphabet (when you have to spit), coming late to meetings, and not remembering your frat's history
Mental Pain
-You will be humiliated, some of the humiliation involves females. Clowning your masculinity is what the females will do and you can't do any hing except sit there and take it. You will most likely be in your underwear or shorts.
-You have to share your darkest secrets. To know someone who knows something that can break you is painful.
Exhaustion
-The pledging process can last anywhere from three weeks to 4 months.
-You have to balance class, being woken up in the middle of the night, and being unable to talk to anybody outside organization socially.

People who have ties with the christian community will probably have a problem with D9 frats because of them worshiping deities. IOTAS worships the Centaur.

The thing with the Kappas being gay or on the DL originated in Atl. Many people have heard stories about a lot of brehs in Atl being on DL, Kappas weren't seen as men in the D9 eyes so they was accused of being gay. When the rumors about Kappas started spread, they have already crossed some DL nikkas because there was so many and it was bound to happen. DL nikkas got some power, became Pros, and started adding some gay ish into the pledging ritual. One bad apple spoiled the bunch and now people believe D9 have gay rituals. The rituals of the D9 were passed on through generations, changing the ritual is acceptable to some degree but should never stray to far from the original rituals.

SMH @ that. That is why I could never pledge to a Kappa frat. Letting strangers know EVERYTHING about me and them controlling everything is disgusting.

Damn the Black frats took some L's throughout this thread :lolbron::russ::whew: I never understood the point in joining a sorority/frat...you can do community service with local private or public organizations on your own time, the networking isn't above & beyond what you can get through ordinary means, and the whole pledging process wouldn't be worth the humiliation even if the actual process is slightly milder than what's been written here. Coming from the South Bronx I just couldn't picture myself letting some high yellow middle class negro from west bumble fukk smack my ass with a paddle just because I wanted to be down with some group. I think in general the Black community is better off with the D9 losing it's prevalence.

Low Key, them nikkas are on top of the food chain in the black community. And they balling out down south with them frats and all.

That's why its good to go to interest meeting and get to know the members on a personal level and see how they represent themselves. Whatever they are in the frat that is how the whole frat is look as.

A lot of nikkas in here don't really know what's going in these frats and just throwing around a lot of false information.

The founding fathers of the D9 were role model for their community and their people and that is still the main focus whatever the frat is doing.... becoming a role model for other so other can become role models too.

The whole eurocentric view of fraternities is the view of people who don't know what's going inside of these fraternities.

If you wanna join a fraternity, just know:

You will be in the spotlight and widely known on campus.....you represent your frat and your people

You will become a new person, the change could be good or bad, but that all depends on you

After everything is done, it'll be all worth it in the future.

The frats made up of predominantly white guys don't get nearly as much attention. And I hardly ever hear a white guy who has graduated saying, "Yeah, I'm gonna chill w/ my old frat brothers or have a frat reunion or some shyt."

It's seems as if they leave that behind at college for the most part.

Matter fact, can't say I have met a white male since college that ever mentioned his fraternity or displayed/wore apparel, accessories.

:ohhh:
Hmm that's interesting. I never noticed that. I do recall though my English teacher and the woman's basketball coach used to do some corny frat shyt whenever they'd see each other. shyt was weird seeing grown men act like that. That dude was weird as fukk though. I remember three occasions where he called me a spic. His heart would fukking glow and I saw a smirk everytime he called me that. I actually had to look the word up cause I didn't even know wtf that was at the time. Looking back he was a fukkboy. fukking fakkit would make me do push-ups all day for talking, meanwhile all the other kids never got the punished for the same shyt. Probably was racist against Hispanics.
