:Deadtrumper:When I saw the trailer I was like “cool, some diversity in Hollywood that doesn’t seem to draw attention to itself in effort to capitalize on being a movie starring not white people. ”
Then I saw the title and was like “what the fukk ”
Again! Spoilers for the people who haven't seen it yet!How do I know I wont be attacked by a bunch of broom welding asians and have acetone thrown in my face if I go support this?
Maybe yall should go see it, then yall can write about how the movie was "too yellow and was an assault on the eyes"
I ain't forget...
Edit: tbf, I did see black panther in a movie theater in vietnam and they absolutely loved it, but they love all marvel stuff
I aint going to see now chingchong romcom. That fukk outta here!
Asia has their own Hollywood. THEY DON'T NEED OUR HELP. Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung realized this shyt and promptly moved back home. They don't need America to be successful. And meanwhile, U.S. born Asians beating the brakes off our women's asses in nail salons. Throw the whole bowl of rice in a fire. fukk these Average height: 5'4" wannabe cacs. This movie is important (to them) because it is set to prove that asian characters who are not comic relief or western men love interest or kung fu stereotypes can be interesting in movies and draw a diverse crowd.
The Indians did that with a romantic comedy about a Indian man chasing a white woman (white people supported it) doubt many black folks watched it.
This movie is a big deal for all asian cast movies in the west. They have movies that will appear here from the east, but they dont garner much interest outside of the asian community because people are not that interested in asian lifestyles that are non traditional imo.
