People talking out their ass in this thread. Government workers don’t make that much unless they’re in IT or some sort of supervisor position. They don’t know about the huge companies like Northrop Grumman and Booz Allen Hamilton that pay real good money. There’s a ton of people in PG that work in Baltimore for these types of companies

They’re bored af. VA is the only state where I get pulled over on the regular for dumb shyt like tinted windows, improper lane change, signal, following too closely . I think they suspect that I’m moving something which I’m not . I never consent to a search, they don’t have probable cause. They never give me a ticket either unless it’s speeding so I know they’re on some nuisance Shyt. Maryland with all the speed traps, and NY - nothing . So I know VA is on one
The public sector empkoyes blacks at a higher rate than the private sector; and its harder for them to discriminate on pay
That’s why I can’t knock black people in the military or government jobs, we should actually continue to focus on dominating the public sector
I got some fam out in Maryland working for the government and pretty damn paid. I think if I lived in the US I'd consider living there. I would like to be around other successful black people. Don't see that in Canada cuz we either married to white folk or sprinkled all over....no actual upper class black communities here which sucks.

One of my boys from college works for a company called Legg mason. I think it’s in Baltimore do you know their reputation? Are they legit?
Because they made my nikka go through crazy interviews.

I would like to see a list adjusted by cost of living. That's prob the reason why DC is higher than everyone else. People get paid more in DC cause of the higher COL.

Yea they have a big ass skyscraper downtown. Huge company. He must be in finance or something. And as @gabbo touched on people are eating off the healthcare field too. There’s a TON of hospitals around here
I fukks with DC police. they don't bother you for nothing cause they got real shyt to worry about. You really gotta be wylin out for them to mess with you. I remember one night I was at a red light in the middle of N.E.. breh pulled up on my driver side, motioned for me roll the window down. He was like "ay bruh, ya tail light busted, get that joint fixed." 3 seconds later soon as light turned green he peeled off like.
while police in Northern VA harass you for any little thing since they don't see no action over there. one breh pulled me over goin thru all my papers just to finally tell me my license plate light bulb was out
depends on your budget and what kind of lifestyle you want really. if you wanna be right in the middle of everything to where you don't even need a car and close to the nightlife, get a spot in the city (e.g. U street, H street, Navy Yard, etc.). if you want a little more bang for your buck while still being close to the action then hit the border suburbs like Alexandria, Hyattsville, DT Silver Spring.
