A movie about African Kingdoms will not be successful, the best you can hope for is if it becomes a PBS movie or something, it's just too esoteric to do any numbers.

on topic: The Will Smith Egypt movie will be successful....because Will Smith is in it. Even After Earth made it's mark past even, just on the strength that he was in it.
If you're going to do this kind of movie, you'll need stars, and stars cost 20 mill off top. Denzel and Will are the go to guys, altho I would really like to see Mike K Williams reach A-list status. He is very talented.

I went and saw Hotel Rwanda twice.GTFOH, nikkas will not see a movie about "African Kingdoms".Let us keep it 100 right now. I go into a number of reasons but one of them is that there aint going be no Halle Berry looking bytch starring in it.

When skinny clothes and bright ass shyt came popular, it looked alien to black folks when it became popular in the mid 00s, and it still is, subconsciously. First time we never had clothing brands made by our own and fully gave in to the Euro image. It also killed R & B with the mass usage of auto-tune. That era had no real classic movies, artists, or memorable moments outside of Obama getting elected president. Guess that's the price we play for full-blow integration of our culture to mainstream America.

its funny because there are actual decent African heritage films but yall wont do the due diligence to find em yet yall prolly find that unrealesed pac mixtape in a heartbeat. As a dude who grew in Africa having to overstand our vast history in GHC classes and being immersed with said African heritage films on the local channels i can say the stories/lore are well worth your time.
