These threads are NOT about black women loving themselves. Women (PERIOD) have been altering themselves in superficial ways to make themselves more attractive since the beginning of time, thats just what women do. Females peacock, its part of their character. Females dying their hair blonde doesn't mean they don't love themselves, coli posters don't seem to understand that females (black, white, brown, or yellow) do that kind of shyt just to see how others react. The bottomline is that these nikkaz are either gay or don't hang out with women enough, because all these behaviors they think are unique to black women apply to women of EVERY race
Once this hair style becomes popular again WW with be breaking out the curly weaves and the perms. The fact that WW don't wear curly hair and weaves is only b/c of fashion trends nothing more. BW will follow suit, break out the natural hair and curly weaves. It's really not complicated.
The reason why you may see more black women with straight long hair or straight hair is because of the obvious. You have work appropriation which is a white institution. Black women have been let go because of natural hair being a distraction. They've been fired. They've been denied employment. Just like many work places enforce for men to not have long hair (be it dread locks or braids or straight hair), they also have denied employment and let black female employees go for short hair.
White privilege is putting on a less-ethnic sounding voice on a phone interview so you don't sound "black enough" and hopefully just be able to do a face to face interview for a job. White privilege is pressing your hair out or flat ironing it, curling your hair to look more "professional".

Didn't even mention poc being profiled more with natural hair than with conforming hairstyles.
