What don't kill you... et cetera et cetera - but it's damn true. I know how society treats oriental guys. But the ones that do pass judgement and maintain their benighted attitudes are confided to a bubble so thick - you just have to accept that a huge chunk of society will be stubborn in their ways.
You have guys like M17 and Ramdam who (i'm not sure mean well or not, it's hard to gauge sincerity on a computer screen)... but these dudes truly seem genuinely oblivious strictly by how they generalize. But do you know where those perceptions come from?
The void that is the inherent lack of interaction with certain groups/particular persons.
It's really easy to say, "Well this Indian dude smells like curry this, cac eat meatloaf that and beaner has a lowrider over there, etc." but do those stereotypes represent an entire ethnic group?
As a matter of fact, i don't even allow myself to think or utilize the term "STEREOTYPE" or "TYPECAST". Why? Then i'll start to believe it. So after college, i rebooted my cerebral hard drive and started from scratch.
Since then, being in the work force, dating women from all walks of life, creed, religions, etc, acquainting myself with those that are out of my normal social comfort zone has allowed me to be a cultural jack of all trades (that's something not a lot of people are willing to do... willingly).
In conclusion, we gotta put our archaic notions behind us and start with a new outlook and only perceive people on an individual basis.
Ramdam; having a rogues gallery of anime and japanese pop discographies doesn't mean shiit if your ideas of machismo and cultural representations are outdated and stunted.
You seem like a good guy who just needs to explore beyond his boundaries and establish relationships with those you wouldn't typically befriend - you'll see how fruitful your experiences can be and how much life there is to being universal.
Another one of my gripes of preconceived notions and generalizations are the, "How is an asian dude gonna satisfy a sista?"

I'm a walking barrier breaker. Anything you may have believed or thought you'd seen regarding oriental dudes are vastly simplified and is not the standard image (especially in contemporary settings).
So... throw that shiit the fukk out the window!

Dudes want to mention endowment; if you feel someone of my ethnic background is not a threat because he can't "satisfy a sista"... i'll tell you what, let's see if you would you be comfortable enough letting your companion hang out with me for one night.
