Why is all this profiling at store becoming so huge all of a sudden
It's not.

Ppl seem to think stuff only happens if it's in the news.

I stopped goin' to a department store, because, I was so egregiously followed, one time years back.

TO YOUR CAR?

I'm pretty sure they can't follow you out of the store.

Yes, to my car. I was about to open the door when I turned around and he was hovering over my bag. When Im saying he ran, he RAN back to the store. He knew I had every right to get in that ass

In those high end stores, black people have to damn near look like James Bond to not get harassed :mjpls:

They think you're some broke criminal that can't afford their clothes otherwise. Meanwhile the middle aged cac is wearing route 66 jeans and new balances and shops without a problem.

This is pure nonsense. If anyone has been to Macy's on 34th St in Manhattan, then you know that there are tons of black and latin people who both work there and shop there on any given day. Dang near half the employees themselves are black or Latino.

This city is starting to feel very anti-black as of late. I blame gentrification, extreme classism, and an increased police presence to boot.

I wouldn't be surprised if more stories come out like this. Clerks at those department stores are always following black and brown folks there like white on rice and seem to justify their profiling and discrimination because they can use their token black and brown employees to deflect any notion of racism.

Oh another thing: keep in mind the reoccurring theme in these stories is credit card fraud. Which is demeaning and offensive as hell. They're basically saying black people can't buy stuff in there stores because they don't have money and are criminal in nature so basically, the money they use to make their purchases with has to be stolen/illegally acquired.

The whole country is anti-black. It's just becoming more obvious now.

Racism only exists in the south. Even with the mass deportation of negroes out of burroughs, Sean Bell, stop and frisk, asking for freedom papers, it still only exists in the South :troll:. It has so many world class amenities and culture. It's just that no one there respects yours.
I agree with the sarcasm... honestly having left in the north and the south... The south is way less racist. The north just isn't in your face racist.. it's that passive aggressive bullshyt that can be defended if confronted and masked with an excuse.

Me and a friend of mine had a plain clothes security dude following us around Macy's when we were 17. Every area we moved to, he moved to the same area pretending to look at clothes. I can't really be mad at him though because we really were trying to steal some shyt :lolbron:
