I went to church almost every Sunday since birth til the time I was 18. They didn’t talk about that. All of them focused on salvation and prosperity.

Many Black Men have allowed themselves to be so beaten down by dominant society that they don't see themselves as true Kings and Leaders in the community. They don't see themselves as the linchpin that holds the black community together. They don't see themselves as the primary example that little boys and litte girls are supposed to learn from.
Because of that any discussions around what we need to be in the community are dismissed as c00n talk or pandering and are met with deflection, anger, and scapegoating.
As long as men in our community don't see themselves as the source of stability and growrj in our communities and are more interested in catharsis than solutions they can control we will not improve as a community.
They must not have listened to TD Jakes cause he be going in on older adult men and young men for years.
