social media and more especially, memes, low key ruin everything. if you dont pay attention to any of the self-aggrandizing and self-promoting twitter takes or any of the corny ass memes, and just watch this on your own without the context of the flavor-of-the-day hype, you'll be left with a decent entertaining movie and some strong actors

for those asking why the "crazies" never sucessfully raided the blind sanctuary, its due to their vetting process and inaccessability - and more importantly because most of the people there were blind, so theres literally nothing for the "crazies" to try to get the blind to see.

also i know they alluded to the fact that those people were mentally disturbed..."criminally insane" as they said, but note this info came from the dude Gary (and only because he name dropped the asylum the people he may or may not have even been with, came from) - and Gary isnt a reliable source as he was saying and doing whatever he could do to get in the house at the time. I personally figured the "unaffected" werent simply mentally ill, but were downright evil. If the images represent your fears, guilts, loss, whatever, truely psychopathic people dont have any of those feelings or adhere to those constructs. those people represented outright evil IMO, not a broad painted picture of mental illness
