It's a Call of Duty tournament not auditions to be part of the revolution. Jesus.

It's a Call of Duty tournament. Please keep that in mind.
Okay, since it's just a Call of Duty tournament, would you be okay with this person participating?

its a petty situation completely, and as such the runners of it can be petty :manny:

Should she be included, technically yes if she is half black but she know what she doing and I'm not mad at her getting pushback. I will say they need to keep the same energy when they do these all woman joans and include trans folks with no pushback.
"She knows what she is doing"? She's trying to play in a COD tournament.
Let's increase our numbers not decrease them. We need more people not less.

Openly holding “black only events” then getting mad at the backlash means there was never a code to uphold. You’re supposed to do that stuff coincidentally, not openly.

I dont wanna hear crying when other groups start picking up the same mantle in reverse. Some of yall really do not know the consequences of some of these selfish actions.

This is the same thing the Founders Fund tried to do. You’re supposed to ironically award the grant money to people you want to win, not exclude others from winning.

I support black functions and spaces…indirectly. The moment you start going around rubbing that in people’s faces, it will always backfire.

Real exclusion is QUIET, not LOUD.

Who tf cares if it's a openly Black only event if the purpose of it was to provide a safe space for Black women so they don't have to deal with discrimination or anything else. That is different than a White person saying "White Only" event which would come off as bad because I know their reasoning would be based on racism.

The girl in the OP is White passing and it's that simple. She can be allowed in White spaces that the Black women are not allowed in.

But Meghan Markle is Black? Black women were celebrating when she married that Royal CAC?
If a woman is like Megan Markle/Mariah/Rashida Jones and does something good achievement-wise she's black. Marry a Cac, Create a successful business, showcase an amazing talent, becomes the first "black" woman to do something.

If she tries to use her blackness to benefit herself i.e try to get a black girl scholarship, date/marry an famous/rich chocolate nikka, get a role in a non black film. Then she's just another white girl taking from the real sistas.

Its no different than Barack. Once he won president white folks wanted to let you know he was half white. All them mulatto nikkas in jail, if he was Buick Obama cuz he stole a lot of cars he'd be fully black.

i don’t tweet as it is.. but never did i think id have to ever make a tweet like this.

having to ‘prove’ if i am black ‘enough’ and then being told im not black enough to play a tourney that is for ‘Black Presenting Women’ is insane … after sending FAMILY PICTURES btw.. what’s next my birth certificate validating this? which states “Mixed White & Black Carribean” on too, btw.

my whole life I’ve experienced racism but I’ve never experienced it from the black community i’ll tell you that.

being told “i had it easy” is fukking disgusting considering what i’m literally experiencing right now. growing up as a mixed race individual was not easy. always feeling like we didn’t fit in. and i think this today is proof of that

I’m not saying someone stops being Black just because they don’t engage with Black people. But when someone selectively engages with Blackness only when it benefits them—whether for credibility, clout, or convenience—it’s a bit sus. There are Black people who don’t immerse themselves in Black culture, it happens. But that’s different from leveraging Blackness as a tool while otherwise distancing from it.

Consistency is the bottom line. if Blackness is a core part of who you are, it shows beyond just when it’s useful.

You don't know black people who do that? Only engage with black folks when it's convenient for them? What about black folks who do all the above, but don't really fukk with other black folks like that? You know the kind who will talk about racism and white supremacy only to go home to their white spouses or white neighborhoods? Does being black have to be an act to count, or are you just black because it's in your blood?

White people aren’t doing “white only” events openly. They just dont invite people they dont want.

Do you not see the difference?

The moment you make things explicit, you open yourself up to this. Yall try so hard to replicate the exclusion other groups have without understanding HOW they do it
