Is there any truth to Large Professor Ghost producing on those Albums tho?

because I've heard that before..

definitely. LP did the entire LTRHE album and he and Eric B had beef about that, because Eric B did a remix of the album and took all production credit. and it wasnt like he just threw that out his ass, KGR said it for sure and if I am not mistaken, Bumpy Knuckles and possibly even Rakim co-signed this lowkey.

as far as Bink, he been had his foot on these dudes necks, so this aint nothin new. he stay shyttin on em. especially Justice League and rightfully so.

summer 03 this was bubbling

Just Blaze Details The Making Of Jay Z's "Public Service Announcement" - Gearslutz

I was the engineer mixing for Just Blaze that night. We were at Battery Studios mixing the "Friday Night" single for Young Guns. While i'm mixing at the console, Just Blaze is behind me at the producers desk with an MPC and a turntable, his friend had brought him that record and i could tell by the head nodding with the headphones and the laser focus expression he had on his face he was cooking some fire, but i only got glimpses thru the headphone bleed.

We had the MPC routed into the SSL just to listen to when JB wanted to so at one point he says "Ken let me hear this on the big speakers for a second", i unmute the channels, turn that **** up on the mains and out comes the PSA beat at full volume. HOLY %^*^(#&%@^#**@Y&@! R U F'ing KIDDING ME!!!! that was a spiritual moment. i mean it was undeniable, unbelievable. instant classic. I can still recall it like it was yesterday.

After a while, he goes back to working with his headphones and i get back to mixing Young Guns. as i am printing my final mix passes for "Friday Night" JB had finished the beat and passed out on the back couch. I hadnt worked on anything on the Black album and i knew this would make it, let alone make history, so i tried to wake JB up just so i could print the beat to tape for him and at least get an engineering credit on it. Just Blaze was soooo exhausted he work up for a second and said "i need to tweek it a little, i'll print it tomorrow", and he did, but i wasnt there when that happened. I got shut out of the Black Album, Just Blaze made another historic hip hop moment.

summer of 2003, black moon used the same sample on "stay real". now that song wasn't as popular as jay's and many of u may not have heard it, but WKCR played it every thursday night faithfully. just blaze responded to the accusation of biting(i know this is hip hop and "you don't own no loops") with "i havne't listend to black moon in years. but 4 years prior he had worked with buckshot on his solo album.. there is no way just blaze hadn't heard that song in the summer of 2003 being the huge hip hop head that he is. anyway, OC used it as an interlude on his debut as well almost a decade prior to both.. either way, both are dope songs and nice story ken lewis..

for the record I'm a big Blaze fan but some questions bear asking...

Bink comes off as abrasive to a lot but he is a real dude. he doesnt bite his tongue and is not politically correct most of the time. he is a very knowledgeable dude and does a lot as far as helping young up and coming producers, from workshops on beatmaking and the business. so I aint got nothin bad to say about dude feeling his way.

I remember that, was definitely strange. Both records came out around the same time, but Blaze was also a SOHH lurker and they used to have a Duck Down marketing team posting/hyping releases on there so I always figured he knew and said "fukk it, mine will be bigger" lol

Wow......never heard this before...Black Moon was kinda blackballed or suppressed because they were self contained and not with the majors. Their song banging tho

He's right though.

He's been saying this for awhile. And if we're being honest, he's on point. There was a point when you had to have your own sound. And if your shyt sounded like someone else's, you'd be crucified in Hip Hop. Originality started dying around the late 90's and everyone started shifting to whatever sound was popular at the time. If it sold, then producers would jack that sound and run with it. But this is really what separates the greats from the average random "producer" these days.
Not the late 90s. Way after

Blaze is my favorite producer, has he ever jus given Bink his props and admitted Bink influenced his sound etc, if he did that maybe Bink could move past all that wit Blaze
