I can explain the abundance of gas. say if the world went to shyt, and more than 90% of the world's population were rendered as zombies, then there would essentially be no traffic anywhere. Thus all the existing gas at the various gas stations and refineries and in fuel trucks would certainly last a VERY VERY long time because there really isn't anyone to consume it.

But you have to scavenge it from a limited radius, which is probably being scavenged by other survivors as well. It's not a big deal, but if you were to really think about it, at some point you run out which is why Eugene is all abt manufacturing it.

eugene is a moron. cuz manufacturing bullets is going to be a major endeavor. first you gotta find a press in order to mold the brass or mash up the primer, gunpowder and bullet back into the spent casings.

second you gotta find a supply of gun powder and primers.

third you gotta make bullets and find a supply of lead. and lead isn't something you're just gonna find lying around. that shyt comes from an ore which has to be heated up to like 1000 degrees just to get the lead out. or they could find something like a car battery and get lead from there I guess

I try not to think about all this too hard cuz this show isn't based in reality in the first place so fukk it. just enjoy the show.

Ok, so my season rankings

4 - loved them building something and having it taken away all again, the isolated stories at the end of the season were just eery. Having to survive alone and in pairs/triads after having had community was was also interesting seeing the governor humanized then revert back to his savagery

3 - was cool to see these two societies develop and the different code by which they operated

1=2 - since 1 was so short, and 2 was only 13 eps, they kinda play out as one longer season. I actually want season 2 to be higher since Shane is by far the most charismatic actor this show has had so far IMO, tho I have faith in Jeffry "Denny" Dean Morgan. I liked these seasons as they did a great job of setting up situation and unfolding the new moral code. Don't know how people say Shane was psycho, he kept the group safe and functioning and wouldn't have gotten them into some of the fukkery Rick did, yea he wanted Rick's family, but Rick essentially became Shane, down to lusting after Jessie and feeling like he could protect her fam

5 - didn't really like middle arc of this season, the whole Beth extraction was stupid to me and a bit too , but carol with the shyts blowing up terminus and the end episodes where they have NOTHING but each other, damn near starved to death and shyt, again, that level of isolation and desperation was

6 - too much this town single handedly takes down a 1000+ zombie horde, the ongoing games of capture the flag, the "I'm leaving" "I'm coming with you" "go after her/him" and schitzophrenic back and forth, unpredictable nature of the characters, especially it being done just to make the situation more perilous, was tiring. At some point the character is who they are, deviations are allowed, but it's literally episode to episode. I also wasn't feeling some of the romances, they felt forced as the characters displayed no damn chemistry, shyts came out of no where. Carol and the neighbor, ab and Sasha , michonne and rick make sense, but dude was just simping that Jessie chick, i don't know. Will update once i finish the finale

Favorite characters: Carol, Shane, Darryl, Glenn
Least favorite: Sasha, Lori, Dale, Father Gabriel, Judith


Overall, I give the series 3.75/5, i see why it's crazy popular, i just hope season 7 is better than 6 (and 5 tho from one thread i read elsewhere, people seemed to love season 5)

And that's fine, i accept the show for what it is, but as I watch, I can't help but apply this situation to what happens in the real world if this went down...which it wouldn't in the first place

And the show seemed like a more realistic portrayal of the post apocalyptic world in season 1-4, 5 and 6 is where it turned and I was like, "oh yea, this is a comic book series"

I think it only seemed that way because they followed the comic near on exactly for season 6 since it was a big part of the series opposed to the rest which was mostly guidelines with the odd important moment ripped straight from the comic, I'd probably rate it from best to worst like this (by worst I mean weakest I enjoyed every season)

Finished the finale....man, I hate seeing actors i love in roles i know I'll despise them in...but that's the fun of being an actor.

I think it was Ab or Eugene or Glenn, definitely wasn't a woman and they're not gonna kill off Darryl or rick like that. I know it's a sadistic show, but I definitely know they're not having a male character bludgeon a female to death, i still think there is a cultural norm/wall you can't break. Fighting, shooting, yea, beating with a barbed wire bat, nah
