Do I think he's a starter in this league, no. Backup, maybe.

There's a lot of bum QB's in the league and draft, I don't see why he can't get a shot.

Nathan Peterman is on a NFL roster, and Mike Glennon is eating very well. That's all I'm going to say.

I disagree but this is the entire point. He should be able to sit on a bench collecting easy checks for the next decade like every other QB picked in the first 3 rounds who is not completely useless. I’d rather see him be the next Charlie Whitehurst than the next Antonio Brown(:mjlol: at that comparison too, as if it’s commonplace to compare any WR prospect, much less a QB convert, to the 2nd best receiver in the league)

Kaep is out of the league and yall still surprised by this? They don't respect athletic QB's as they believe it is a mental position and we already know how they view black folk intelligence. White QB's are viewed as easy to work with and hard working. Black QB's difficult, primadonna, unwilling to put in the time, unfocussed.

Why do we allow this blatant 'cism?

I'll never forget when ESPN had a round table discussion on Kaepernick and he was literally shaking trying to ignore everyone else to keep to his :mjpls: beliefs.

shyt was really sad. Everyone was on there having open dialogue while he was acting like the Klan was in his ear .

A coworker brought up an interesting point. Polian probably made this comparison because the only NFL QB he compared Jackson to is Cam, who is 6'5. ESPN draft analysts almost never compare black QBs to white ones, even ones who were pass first in college (Teddy, Jameis). And that's how we got the "Jameis/Teddy are too slow" bullshyt takes from so called experts. So in this case, because Lamar is (2 inches) shorter and weighs less than Cam, he can't succeed.
:francis:

Lamar Jackson might be trash in the league, who knows. But the fact that he's being denigrated while Josh fukking Allen is hailed as a can't miss prospect tells us everything we need to know about the Righ-ness of White-ness.

Jackson is more Matt Stafford than Cam :francis:

They do the speed thing the other way with white QBs too. Nothing at all was said about Luck running a better 40 than Cam :francis:

NFL doesn't want to become the NBA.

NBA is 75% black, and ALL the marketable stars are black. The closest you get to white superstars are light-skinned/bi-racial blacks. The NFL is probably close to 70% black, yet 6 of the top 10 highest selling jerseys are from white players.

Black players make up the backbone, but the league has done everything possible to make it a QB's game. Why? Because whites are disproportionately represented at the QB position. That's who they want to be the "face" of the NFL. Mad respect for guys like Brady and Brees, but there's no way they would have been able to play this long under old school rules. Tom would still have rings, but he'd also be about 3 inches shorter and walking with a noticeable limp by now if he got hit the way Bradshaw, Staubach or even Aikman and Young used to get beat up.
