I still don't know what the hell O'Brien is trying to do with the offense. Is it a pass offense or run offense? I do know that it's too gimmicky. All that wild cat bull shyt don't work in the NFL. Texans really need to get a QB in here next season I think they see now you can't just rely on your defense to win playoff games. You need a QB to take pressure off your defense.

What were his options
He could have drafted Bortles, Briidgewater, or Aj mcarron. He could have made a decision to develop one qb instead that qb carousel bullshyt. He could have been less of a dikk on how he treated Casey Keenum.

Dude is just a poor judge of character and talent. Plus he is a mediocre coach

Obviously we took the super L Yesterday but I enjoy the weekly "we hate Watt" comments and I giggled when I found this "we hate Obrien" thread

I was wrong about BOB. It is the GM who has to get fired.

I will say this: he is a poor overall manager in how he handled the situation with Andre Johnson and Case Keenum. Keenum isn't star QB but he would have been better than Mallet (who BOB really wanted to develop). I think O'Brien is good in terms of the strategic part of coaching but not the management aspect of it. Unfortunately you need both for long term NFL success. Of course the success of the Texans could be attributed more to Romeo Crennel's great coaching on the defensive end more than anything else.

IMO Rick Smith is not a good GM. He's a yes man to Bob McNair. Yea he hit on JJ Watt, Foster, Mercilus and Hopkins but all those are 1st rounders except for Foster. He hasn't found enuff gems in the 3,4 and 5th rounds. There are virtually no playmakers on offense and the reason the OL is always shaky is becuz of the poor drafting that's occurred in recent years.

Smith has also been reluctant to pull the trigger on a young QB in the draft and continues to try and plug in these journeymen QB's which is really gotten the Texans nowhere. Better drafting would have the Texans with depth on the team and had they had the guts maybe a QB who would have had 2 or 3 years grooming by now.
