I don't know why that's so hard for people to accept. Evolution is just a natural process and mechanism for the proliferation of life. It is what it is whether you are an atheist or someone who believes in a creator/designer.

It is better, because we're not accountable to a higher power, we're accountable to society and each other. Children need to be taught compassion, not that an all-seeing judge in the sky is examining every second of his life and gets to decide their ultimate fate.
